04/02/2026

💥 🚨 We’re seeing a sad trend of Support Coordination providers closing — a worrying impact for participants, teams, businesses, and the wider community 🚨 💥

At Wellspace Australia, we understand how challenging these decisions around closures are. Skilled coordinators are leaving the sector, coordinators are concerned about their jobs, their businesses, and livelihoods, and participants risk losing the supports they rely on.

We’re here to offer guidance, options, and continuity of support while continuing to provide ethical, high-quality Support Coordination.

With funding rates frozen for years while compliance, frequent changes to registration and audit requirements, administrative, and workforce costs continue to rise, many high-quality providers and Support Coordinators are finding it increasingly difficult to stay viable or motivated.

While we don’t have the power to change NDIS pricing or systemic settings, at Wellspace Australia we’re not waiting for the system to change, we are thriving and continuing to grow.

We’ve adapted intentionally and sustainably to ensure Support Coordination remains ethical, independent, and high quality.

Wellspace Australia is a nationally registered NDIS provider that works exclusively in Support Coordination and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching.

We do not deliver any other NDIS supports, by design.

Why?

This ensures our guidance is independent, impartial, and free from conflicts of interest. Every recommendation we make is based solely on what is right for the participant, not on filling internal services.

✨ What this looks like in practice:

• Contracting options with no KPIs and no registration burden

• Employment roles with manageable, person-centred KPIs

• 100% remote work anywhere in Australia

• Full back-end support — admin, claiming, audit, CRM, documents/resources, and compliance handled

• Access to a calendar of internal training and mentoring across all roles

• Expert-led teams for Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and Level 3 Support Coordination, providing organisation-wide training, mentoring, and structured supervision for all team members currently providing or aspiring to provide these supports

• A dedicated manager or team leader providing guidance, support, and regular supervision to help you thrive

• A national organisation supporting 1,100+ participants, built on this model for over 7 years

For providers or individuals considering scaling back, transitioning out, or stepping away from Support Coordination, we offer confidential conversations and tailored transition pathways, prioritising continuity of support for participants and stability for team members.

Many of these conversations are happening privately, and that’s completely appropriate.

Our vision is to inspire clients to dream and achieve, and to set up supports which allow them to feel safe and empowered

Wellspace launched 2 years ago with a dream of providing a unique service dedicated to the art of providing honest and reliable services to people with a disability. We started out with a group of 3 Support Coordinators and have now grown to an amazing 20 across NSW, VIC and QLD and rapidly growing. We support almost 300 participants through Support Coordination and private case management.

Our vision is to inspire clients to dream and achieve, and to set up supports which allow them to feel safe and empowered.

I believe that Wellspace is a leading Support Coordination provider with each of our Support Coordinator being skilled in their own niche specifically hired with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in their chosen expertise, and must have experience as a Support Coordinator/Management/NDIS or LAC Planner. Our Support Coordinators follow a ‘Positive Psychology’ concept where we focus on peoples strengths and increase their overall wellbeing. We shift the focus from what is clinically ‘wrong’, to the promotion of creating a meaningful life where people flourish.

Most of our team were part of the initial roll out in South-West Sydney (2016) and supported participants to transition onto the National Disability Insurance Scheme. We are down to earth and always go above and beyond to make a positive difference in our clients lives.
