Our Story

OccCare Australia was set up in October 2009 to provide Occupational Therapy services to the central Sydney community. OccCare Australia provides both in-clinic services where we have a new purpose built sensory gym in our Newington clinic as well as community Occupational Therapy to clients who may find community access difficult. These may include but are not limited to clients under palliative care, clients who are recovering from an acute medical condition, aged care clients and clients experiencing challenges with community access. OccCare Australia aims to assist our clients to achieve their best occupational potentials so that they can continue to experience high quality of living and independence in their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental ADLs. Where paediatric clients are concerned, our goal is to help equip them with necessary life skills appropriate for their age and assist them to reach their developmental milestones. The client profile seen by OccCare Australia to date includes WorkCover, CTP, DVA, EACH, Medicare, TACP, NDIS and private insurances (please check with your private insurance company for eligibility) and also privately paying clients. Assessment and visits can be conducted outside of business hours and on weekends with prior agreement. Please speak with us directly if you have this special request. All appointments are strictly by booking only. To arrange an appointment, please either email or call us directly. To ensure that we are adequately prepared for your initial consultation and to estimate time required, please kindly provide us with the following information (if relevant) at time of referral or booking: 1. Medical history, including recent medical diagnosis, current medications and hospital discharge summary (if applicable). 2. Contact residential address, postal address, email and phone number. 3. Referrer's name, designation, organisation, work address, postal address, email and phone number. 4. Funding body and method of payment. Please quote reference file number. We endeavour to establish our initial contact within 1-2 business days after receiving your enquiry or referral.
