🌻 It’s Invisible Disabilities Week! 🌻

At OSAH, we’re proud to recognise and support individuals with disabilities that may not be immediately visible. Everyone’s experience is unique and awareness is key to understanding and inclusion!

We’ve officially taken the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower pledge and our team recently completed training to learn more about how we can better support clients, families, and each other. Together, our staff created a beautiful sunflower display at the clinic to help spark conversations and raise awareness.

We’re also excited to share that we’ll soon be rolling out Sunflower lanyards for clients and carers who would like to wear one, a simple way to signal that someone may need a little extra support, time or understanding.

Let’s keep the conversation going because not all disabilities are visible, and every act of kindness makes a difference!

Today is R U OK? Day 💛

It’s a meaningful reminder to check in with those around us, especially if you’ve noticed someone might be struggling. Sometimes, a simple “Are you OK?” doesn’t feel like enough.

Instead, try acknowledging what you’ve seen and let them know you’re here to listen, whenever they’re ready to talk. Your presence and care can make a real difference.

Remember, support goes beyond words. Small acts of kindness and practical help can be incredibly comforting to someone going through a tough time.

Let’s keep the conversation going and show we care - today and every day.
