NAIDOC Week at Royal Rehab Group

NAIDOC Week is a time to reflect, to listen, and to honour the strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the world’s oldest continuing cultures.

This year marks a significant milestone: 50 years of NAIDOC. The 2025 theme, “The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” is a powerful reminder that the future is being shaped by young First Nations leaders, grounded in the strength of their ancestors, inspired by the vision of their communities, and driven to carry forward a proud legacy.

At Royal Rehab Group, we recognise that true healing extends beyond the physical. It’s about connection, to land, to culture, to each other. It's about listening to the voices of First Nations people and supporting a future shaped by self-determination, cultural strength, and community-led leadership.

As we mark this milestone NAIDOC Week, we reaffirm our ongoing commitment to reconciliation, standing with First Nations peoples in their continued fight for justice, equality, and recognition. And we celebrate the next generation: strong, visionary, and ready to lead.

Today marks the beginning of National Reconciliation Week 2025. It's a time for all Australians to reflect, learn, and take meaningful steps toward a more united future.

In recognition of Parkinson’s Awareness Month and World Parkinson’s Day (11 April), the team at Royal Rehab Private Petersham added a sweet touch to this week’s PD classes.

Cupcakes were delivered to class attendees and their carers as a small gesture of appreciation and support for our patients and clients living with Parkinson’s Disease.

It was a lovely way to acknowledge the strength and commitment of those who attend our PD classes week after week.

Parkinson’s Awareness Month is an opportunity to shine a light on the experiences of people living with Parkinson’s and the importance of support, understanding, and continued research.

We're proud to be part of a community that stands beside them every step of the way.
