This week we’re slowing things down with restorative yoga, nourishing the mind and the nervous system. Effortless inversions like rope headstand help the mind quieten and the breath deepen. A good restorative session helps restore the balance of the stress response and can leave you feeling deeply rested and with energy to carry on. Most Iyengar yoga schools run in 5 weeks cycles, with the 4th week being restorative week (often the most popular!).

Jo was doing a class on zoom when a bird landed on her arm. It’s a credit to her focus, steadiness and concentration that the bird stayed there as she completed the asana! 😀
Jo teaches a Gentle Beginner’s class on Wednesday 10-11.30am and a Beginner’s/General class on Friday 10-11.30am. Both classes are in the room at The Yoga Nook and on zoom.
