✨ Screening for the STNR Reflex ✨
The Symmetrical Tonic Neck Reflex (STNR) is a primitive reflex that typically develops during infancy and integrates as a child grows. When retained, it may be associated with challenges such as posture difficulties, poor coordination, fidgeting, trouble sitting still, or difficulties with reading and concentration.
In this reel, we’re demonstrating a simple screening observation that may indicate the presence of a retained STNR Reflex.
⚠️ Disclaimer: This screening is not a diagnosis. The signs shown in this reel may be related to a retained STNR Reflex or other developmental factors. If you feel your child may be presenting with these signs, please seek medical advice or a professional assessment from a qualified healthcare practitioner.
💛 Early support and understanding can play an important role in a child’s development and learning.
