WHAT DOES CUPPING FEEL LIKE? Cupping isn’t painful—it feels more like a deep tissue release. Most people describe a gentle pulling or stretching sensation, followed by a sense of relief as tension is eased.

WHAT DOES CUPPING DO? It can support muscle recovery, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and calm the nervous system.
It’s especially helpful for:
➡️ Sporty people- if your training multiple times a week or for different sports

➡️Desk workers with tight shoulders and neck

➡️Tradespeople with repetitive strain or sore backs

➡️Anyone under constant stress

➡️ If you hold tension in your chest or back ribs.

❇️ Express appointments available, perfect to fit in your work lunch break. Book in to experience the Traditional Chinese Cupping difference.

Worry. Panic Attacks. Emotions. Thoughts. Acupuncture helps ease the pressure on the nervous system.Mental health and stress are the most significant issues for young adults—especially women—with nearly half reporting conditions like anxiety or depression.

Sleep disturbances often accompany stress and mood issues, affecting over 60% of university-aged individuals.

Symptoms of stress, sleep and mood are areas we constantly work on with people, in a Chinese Medicine Clinic. Whether you haven't asked for professional help yet, or have told you doctor, and are taking medication - Acupuncture is an additional support.

If you're on the Northern Beaches of Sydney and wondering where to start, I'm a degree qualified Acupuncturist with over 20 years experience. Based in Brookvale and Warriewood, get in touch to support your mental relief.

Why is Jing important for busy modern lives?

Because many of us are constantly running on adrenaline, caffeine, and stress – draining our Jing without realising it. Protecting and nurturing your Jing helps prevent burnout, supports fertility, keeps your hormones balanced, and ensures you have the reserves to thrive, not just survive.

What is Jing Qi and Why Should You Care?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jing and Qi are the foundations of your health and vitality.

Jing is your Essence – the deep reserves you’re born with that govern growth, development, fertility, and healthy ageing. Think of Jing as your body’s savings account. It’s precious and finite, and it determines your resilience over a lifetime.

Qi is your life force energy – what keeps you alive and functioning every day. Qi fuels your breath, digestion, thinking, and movement. When Qi is strong and flows smoothly, you feel energised, clear-headed, and balanced.

What does Jing Qi look like in daily life?

• Feeling energised when you wake up
• Strong immunity and recovery from illness
• Hormonal balance and reproductive health
• Mental clarity and emotional stability
• Ageing gracefully without burning out your reserves

How can you work towards protecting your Jing and building your Qi?

✔️ Prioritise quality sleep – deep rest restores Jing
✔️ Eat nourishing meals regularly – fuels Qi production
✔️ Avoid overworking and chronic stress – stress depletes Jing over time
✔️ Practice gentle movement like Tai Chi, Qi Gong or walking – builds and circulates Qi
✔️ Seek treatments like acupuncture and herbal medicine – to replenish what’s been drained and strengthen your energy

Next time you see your Acupuncturist or Herbalist, ask them for some additional Jing support to help you feel more energised.

For many people, FATIGUE, STRESS and POOR SLEEP are the reasons they make an appointment with me.

😞Some call it adrenal fatigue or burnout.
In Chinese medicine, there’s no magic bullet but - adopting aspects of ‘Yang Sheng’ helps give you practical ways to get back to a steadier, more energised, YOU.

🔵 What is Yang Sheng in Chinese Medicine? Yang Sheng means “nourishing life.”
It’s more than just self-care – it’s a way of living that focuses on maintaining health, preventing illness, and cultivating vitality through daily practices.

🔵 So what does Yang Sheng look like?
• Eating in harmony with the seasons
• Moving your body gently and regularly, like with Tai Chi, walking or yin yoga.
• Prioritising good sleep to restore Yin and replenish Qi
• Managing emotions and stress with practices such as meditation, breathwork or acupuncture
• Connecting with nature and giving yourself moments of stillness

🧘‍♂️To help you, we have a Beaches Yin Yoga Pins event coming up on Sunday, 24 August at Mona Vale SLSC. To purchase tickets the link is in the bio.

🔵 Yang Sheng is about living with intention, simplicity, and balance so your body can thrive rather than just survive.

If you need help with fatigue, poor sleep or a sense of burnout consider acupuncture in Chinese herbal medicine as part of your self-care plan.
I’m a degree qualified TCM practitioner based on the northern Beaches and can support you.

In TCM, ‘Cold Uterus’ can be part of the puzzle of menstrual issues, fertility challenges and pain.

❄️ How can you tell if you may have Cold uterus?
Try it now, feel your belly below your navel and above your p***c bone. Is it hot? Warm? Cool? Or cold?

❄️Additional signs may include:
** Period pain improved with heat packs
** Clots in menstrual blood
** Pale menstrual flow
** A cold belly, especially DURING or BEFORE your period.
** Feeling worse after cold foods or drinks and preferring warm foods and drink.
** Cold hands and feet, or other cold sensations in the body

❄️How might Chinese Medicine help? Cold Womb is a Chinese Medicine concept. Not a Western Medicine diagnosis. So it makes sense to use TCM tools to remedy this:

🔥 Acupuncture – warms and moves Qi and Blood, helping disperse Cold from the uterus
🔥 Moxibustion (Moxa) – warming acupuncture points with this traditional heat therapy to warm the belly.
🔥 Chinese Herbs – tailored herbal formulas to warm and invigorate the circulation.

❄️If you have a cold lower abdomen, this could be part of a bigger picture relating to your health .
🔥 To regain warmth and reduce pain, ask a fully qualified Chinese Medicine practitioner for a personalised approach to improve circulation back to your core, uterus and abdomen.

TTC can be overwhelming. Lots of questions. Not always followed by answers.
Acupuncture may be able to assist in supporting you in your journey to conceive by providing education to help with the stress associated with female health issues including PCOS, irregular cycles and other potential women's health issues.

You should consult an AHPRA registered Acupuncturist about how acupuncture may be able to help you.
To cut through the confusion and overwhelm.
To feel heard.
To feel more fully supported.
To be treated as a whole person on this journey - find an experienced and fully qualified TCM practitioner.

Here's a bit about my background:
🔹I am a degree qualified Chinese Medicine practitioner (B. HSc. TCM (UTS)).
🔹I have 22 years experience as an Acupuncturist and Chinese Herbalist.
🔹I sought Chinese Medicine (both Acupuncture and herbs)from trusted and fully qualified practitioners to help my own pre-conception care, twice.
🔹I book myself in for Acupuncture and take Chinese herbs when I need them- and have done so over 22 years.

If you're based, make a booking online (link in bio) and we can chat further about whether TCM, Acupuncture and Chinese herbs are a good fit for you.
