🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♂️Meditation without borders 🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♂️

The Dhamma transcends all borders, distance, language, and nationality — connecting us as one spiritual family.

Last night (23 May 2026) at 9pm, Sayadaw Pannathami gave Dhamma talk to the yogis at Dhammaransi Belgium during their 2-day weekend meditation retreat in Belgium, sharing profound guidance and encouragement for yogis to continue cultivating mindfulness in daily life. The retreat brought together practitioners from different backgrounds, united by the shared aspiration to deepen their Vipassana Meditation practice and understanding of the Dhamma.

This morning at 6:45am, Sayadawgyi continued to provide guidance through an online group sitting meditation session with Malaysian yogis. Even across countries and time zones, meditators gathered together in silence and mindfulness, supporting one another on the path of Vipassana meditation practice.

May all who participated in these sessions continue to grow in wisdom, concentration, and inner peace. Sadhu! Sadhu! Sadhu!

🙏 Good News from Panditarama Sydney Meditation Centre 🙏

We are delighted to share that the retaining wall and pavilion installation have now been successfully completed by the PSMC volunteer team.

This pavilion, generously donated by meditators and devotees from China, will provide a comfortable and sheltered space for yogis to practise walking meditation peacefully, as well as support community and ceremonial activities for major Buddhist festivals at PSMC.

We would also like to express our heartfelt appreciation to all volunteers and devotees who dedicated their time, effort, and skills to help complete the installation. May your wholesome deeds bring you and your families good health, happiness, peace, and continued progress in the Dhamma.

May the merits of this offering support the flourishing of the Buddha Sāsana and bring blessings to all beings. 🙏

Sādhu Sādhu Sādhu.

Invitation to the Auspicious 78th Birthday Celebration of the Most Venerable Sayadaw Pannathami 🙏

With deep reverence and gratitude, PSMC warmly invites all devotees and well-wishers to join us in celebrating the auspicious 78th birthday of the Most Venerable Mahānāyaka Aung Si Sayadaw Pannathami, Chief Abbot of Panditarama Sydney Meditation Centre, on 24 May 2026 (Sunday).

On this wholesome occasion, devotees will have the opportunity to offer lunch dāna to the Most Venerable Sayadawgyi and members of the Sangha.

In the Dakkhiṇāvibhaṅga Sutta, the Buddha spoke of the great merits of offering to the Sangha. Offering the lunch dāna is especially meaningful in Theravāda tradition, as monks observe the Vinaya discipline of taking meals before noon.

In part of Dakkhiṇāvibhaṅga Sutta, the Buddha goes on to explain that a gift to a saṅgha is always greater than a gift to an individual.

---------------
“…Now, Ānanda, gifts to the following individuals may be expected to yield the following returns.

“Giving a gift to an animal, yields a return a hundred times over.

“Giving a gift to an unvirtuous ordinary person, yields a return a thousand times over.

“Giving a gift to a virtuous ordinary person, yields a return a hundred thousand times over (100,000).

“Giving a gift to an outsider free of desire for sense pleasures, yields a return a trillion times over (1,000,000,000,000).
----------------

Let us gather together to cultivate generosity, listen to the Dhamma, practise meditation, and share merits in honour of Sayadaw’s compassionate guidance and dedication to the Buddha Sāsana.

May all beings rejoice in these wholesome merits. 🙏

The Kason Festival (specifically the Full Moon Day of Kason – ကဆုန်လပြည့်နေ့ ) is a major, sacred Buddhist holiday in Myanmar that honours the Enlightenment of the Buddha (also known as Bodhi Tree Watering Festival – ညောင်ရေသွန်းပွဲ ).

On 3 May 2026, devotees gathered at PSMC's Bodhi tree and took part in the offering of water to the Bodhi tree in remembrance of the Buddha’s Enlightenment. It was heartwarming to witness everyone participating with such sincerity and calm presence.

May the merits gained from this wholesome deed be shared with all beings. May we all attain the Path and Fruition (Magga and Phala) leading to the Nibbāna. 🙏✨

Sādhu Sādhu Sādhu 🙏🙏🙏

A Remembrance to the Noble Teachers — Mahāsaṅghika Dāna

We are delighted to inform all devotees that the Most Venerable Mahānāyaka Aung Si Sayadawgyi, also the spiritual advisor of Malaysian Buddhist Meditation Centre (MBMC), Sayadaw Pannathami will be visiting Penang to grace this year’s Mahāsaṅghika Dāna, held on 26 April, 2026.

Under the theme of “Honouring the Roots of Our Practice”, this annual event continues as a respectful tribute to the MBMC’s founding masters.

It is a time for devotees and yogis to come together in gratitude, offering dāna to the Saṅgha while reflecting on the vision, and compassion that established the Vipassanā meditation in Penang.

Sayadawgyi’s return brings a precious opportunity for devotees to receive guidance, blessings, and to deepen their connection with the Dhamma.

We warmly invite all devotees to participate and rejoice in these wholesome merits.

Sādhu! Sādhu! Sādhu! 🙏
