Leonie Smith is known as "The Cyber Safety Lady" she is one of Australian best known Cyber Safety experts. Leonie gives educational talks on Digital Citizenship and Cyber Safety to students, teachers, parents, seniors and the workplace.

Leonie was one of the founders of "Aussie Deaf Kids" a website and online support group for parents of Deaf and Hearing Impaired children, started in 2000. She is also a founding board member of The Community Brave Foundation, an anti-bullying charity helping teens from the LGBTIQ community. Leonie was an ambassador for the Governments Stay Safe Online campaign in 2013. She is a much sought after commentator in media on cyber safety, having been interviewed on 60Minutes, The Project, The Morning Show to name a few.

As a pioneer of online support groups, online marketing and multimedia, Leonie embraced digital technology and the internet early in the mid-1990s. Her 20 years as an online multimedia producer, online community builder had seen Leonie using the internet and social media before it became mainstream. She has a unique perspective on using the internet, as an online community moderator and developer, as a business owner and as a mum with young children using the internet from the 1990's and now as a cyber safety professional helping all types of people, parents, students, children, educators, seniors and businesses to use the internet with more safety.
