I am Melissa and have been massaging over 20 years. I have worked in a combination of Chiropractic, Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy Clinics and worked out of home. I have trained in Hot Stones, Cupping and TENS. I am also a mother of three young adults whom I am immensely proud of. You will see me massaging out of my clinic at Caringbah two to three days a week. I share this clinic with two other M
assage Therapist's and a Chiropractor. I also massage Aged Care Clients in their own homes or retirement villages two days a week. This is usually provided by their Aged Care Package. Lastly, I provide massage at Retreats, Private or Corporate Venues. eg Craft Retreats, Yoga Retreats, Church Events. I love all aspects of my work except tech. Why did I become a Massage Therapist? When I was young and silly I loved Natural health and wanted to study Naturopathy. Massage was the first part of that course. I never became a Naturopath, however I completed my Diploma of Remedial Massage when my eldest son was 18 months. Now I am old and cynical I still love massage. If I can help people feel a little bit better and move a bit easier I am happy. I can often find sore bits you don't even know you have and fix them in ways that will keep us both guessing. I try to listen to what your body needs and use my skills of massage, hot rocks, cupping and TENS to help alleviate any niggly bits. I also try to educate my clients in home massage, cupping and TENS. I use to sing, play guitar and write songs but lost my voice, (I did six months of vocal therapy and avoided surgery, I regained my voice,) and haven't regained my mojo for music yet. I like long distant walking and swimming at the moment and enjoying the little things. I completed three 35km walks last year.
