Stiffness isn't aging... its habit 😳

Your body isn’t failing you by dishing up stiffness and pain...
It’s doing exactly what it’s been trained to do.
Long hours sitting at a desk, in the car, on the couch…
Your body adapts with tissues that stiffen, joints lose their glide and muscles switch off.

That’s not ageing....that’s instruction.
And here’s the good news…
The body learns fast.
Small, regular movement teaches tissues to smooth and glide again.
𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵 teaches your body to feel safe under load.
𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗼 reminds your heart and lungs they’re built to work.
𝗠𝗼𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 keeps joints nourished and pain-free.
𝗕𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 keeps you confident, upright, and independent.

Honestly you don’t need to smash yourself.
You just need to move with purpose.
𝘖𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘯. 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘺. 𝘈𝘤𝘳𝘰𝘴𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴.

This is why we don’t just “do workouts” at Punch Love.
We train for real life....
Getting off the floor.
Carrying groceries.
Feeling steady.
Feeling strong.
Your body is always listening.

What instructions are you giving it this week?

Punch Love has never been just a gym. From the very beginning, it has been a place where women come to feel seen, supported, and part of something bigger than themselves.

What I’ve learned after years of working with women is this community is that when you feel connected, when you know you belong somewhere, when there are people who notice if you don’t show up and cheer when you do, life feels more manageable. You carry things differently. You stand a little taller. You feel less alone.

Australia Day always brings this to the surface for me, because at its heart this country has always been about mateship and showing up for one another. It's my favourite aspect of Australian life. We have a go, lending a hand, high five each other when we achieve something greatg an d pop our arms around each other when we are struggling.

I see that every single day inside Punch Love studios... I see friendships form between sets of boxing and strength, conversations that matter happening in the middle of a workout, and moments of support that never make it to social media but mean everything to the woman receiving them.

This kind of community matters deeply. We were never meant to do life alone, and we were never meant to carry everything by ourselves. When women come together, support each other, and move their bodies in an environment that feels safe and encouraging, something powerful happens that goes far beyond fitness.

That is the real power of Punch Love. Not the workouts, not the programs, not the equipment. It’s the people, the connections, and the sense of belonging that keeps women coming back even on the hard days.

And honestly, that feels like a pretty bloody beautiful way to celebrate Australia Day ;) from our family to yours... Happy Australia Day 😍 🙏 👭

Ps Thanks for the hugs & photos Nas & Lyn who I ran into at my local Rotary club flag raising ceremony this morning xx

If you’re a woman in your 40s trying to lock in your healthy habits, this might be the tool that finally makes journaling click for you.

3D Journaling takes less than 3 minutes but gives you powerful insights into:

→ What’s working
→ What’s not
→ Where to focus next

🧐 Here’s how it works:

Line 1: What did you do today that supports your health?
Line 2: What happened as a result?
Line 3: What will you do with that info tomorrow?

It’s about noticing the patterns and making small changes that actually stick.

When you stack simple habits together, everything gets easier.

Here’s how to do a “reverse bucket list” 👇

Everyone talks about what they’re adding in January, but very few people talk about what they’re eliminating.

That’s why the Reverse Bucket List is so effective.

What’s one habit, one commitment, and one belief you’re done with in 2026?

If you're a busy woman over 40 trying to get her body back... this is especially important, because you’re always being pulled in a million different directions!

Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

Choosing Goals That Actually Fit The Life You Live.

Mondays always make me feel like I should be doing more.

Planning harder...pushing a bit extra... trying to get everything sorted.

But I’ve learned this the hard way that most goals don’t fail because we lack discipline. They fail because they don’t fit the life we’re actually living.

I’ve set goals that looked great on paper and felt heavy almost straight away.
Not because I didn’t want them, but because they ignored my values and they ignored the season I was in.

So now, before I choose goals, I stop and ask myself a few questions.

Does this support how I want to live?
Does it align with my word for the year?
Does it honour the values I’ve chosen?
If the answer is no, I don’t force it.
I adjust and choose differently.

This year isn’t about proving anything.
It’s about choosing goals that work with us, not against us.

Goals that leave room for real life and goals that feel aligned, not forced.

January is the month we use to set things up for the rest of the year. Its not going to be perfect, but it will be intentional.

That’s why we’re starting with values and alignment before rushing into more goals.

I’m sharing how I’m doing this as I go, using my own goals as the example, so you can apply the same process to yours in a way that actually fits your life.

This is the groundwork that makes the rest of the year come together effortlessly.

Let’s have a little fun! Here’s a word of the year idea puzzle…

If you need a little inspiration for your 2026 Word of the Year… I’ve got you covered.

Find a word that feels true to where you are, and represents who you are becoming.

Because when life gets busy (and it will!), your word becomes the anchor that keeps you tethered to what matters.

Scroll this list and see which one sparks something.

And if you’ve already chosen your word, drop me a DM and let me know what it is!

What’s your 2026 word? Here’s mine: FLOURISH.

06/01/2026

Now that you’ve chosen your Word of the Year and your values (check out our previous posts), this is where goals finally make sense.

Your 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 sets the direction.
Your 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 set the standard.
Your 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 are just the way you live that out.

This is the part most people skip.
They pick goals first…
then wonder why they don’t stick.

Before you set a goal, ask two simple questions:
Does this goal support my word for the year?
And does it align with the values I’ve chosen?

If the answer is no, it doesn’t mean the goal is bad.
It just might not be yours.

For me, my word is my direction.
My values — playful, courageous, purposeful — are my filter.

So I’m not choosing goals that look impressive.
I’m choosing goals that fit how I want to live.

Goals that leave room for play...Goals that ask for courage...Goals that actually matter.

When your goals match your word and your values, you stop forcing motivation.
You know why you’re doing what you’re doing.

Your turn:
𝗖𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻.
Then underneath it, write:
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱 𝗯𝘆…
𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲…

If you can’t finish those sentences, pause and adjust the goal.

This is how goals start to feel doable and personal.

If you’re a woman in her 40s trying to make lasting changes in her health, habits, and mindset, this is for you 👇

Want to take your 2026 goals to the next level?

It just takes one word, as long as it’s the RIGHT word.

Your “Word of the Year” is like a compass to help you:

→ make good choices even when you’re not motivated
→ stay focused on what really matters
→ remain centered even when your schedule is overflowing

💭 Pick a word that reflects how you want to feel in 2026… not what you want to do.

(You’ll be surprised how that one tip changes everything.)
