The drum is the foremost vehicle for engaging one's attention in spiritual upliftment, for the gift of the drum is that it enables us to once again communicate in the Sacred Language of Spirit. Learn how to connect and work with your drum in the following ways. Focus your meditation. Drum the sacred directions. Projection of prayers for thanks or need. Working with power animals. Drumming the rhythm for seasonal peaks and power places. Drumming the healing rhythms of drum therapy to restore the vibrational integrity of Mother Earth, nature, self and others. Working with the chants of the Bear, Wolf and Rainbow Fire.

As we work with the energy of the Kangaroo remember that everything has its place in the cycle of life. Is there something in your life that is being wasted, that could be put to good use? Are you being cruel or unfair to yourself? Has there been a setback, which could indicate a temporary or total change of direction. As we draw closer to the new moon on the 16th Feb, take time to look to the Southern Cross in the night sky. Draw on its energy to encourage deeper thought and understanding.
