How to beat dry winter skin?

You may have noticed the skin on your body has become drier or itchier with the polar blast ❄️

💫 it’s sounds counter intuitive but water is one of the biggest irritants for our skin.

💫long hot showers damage our skin barrier and can dry our skin out

💫avoid soaps or moisturisers with fragrances (another common irritant) that damage skin barrier

💫 for the body - keep your moisturiser bland and looks for added ceramides, glycerin or urea that help to restore skin barrier

💫 for your face - sunscreen, sunscreen, sunscreen, don’t skip the retinoid, switch to a gentle cleanser (only use your finger tips to lather) and try a slight heavier moisturiser cream to help your skin barrier
