Another batch of reading glasses delivered to the Footpath Library.
Thank you to our customers for generously donating their older frames for this cause.
We take out the old lenses and replace them with new reading lenses.
If you have any specs you no longer need or want to update your current ones, please consider donating them.
Simply bring them in, and we will recycle them.
You will also receive a 10% discount on any new frame purchase with any donation.

I have been doing my best over the last 22 years to run Australia’s only giving library for people experiencing homelessness. Right now, there are so many Australians in crisis, and we are seeing this on the streets of Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. Demand for our services is growing.

Do you wear multifocals and want to run or play sport in them?
I run and hike with these lightweight Imago frames complete with multifocal transitions lenses that darken with sunlight.
I found using a lower reading power in the bottom allowed me to see clearer on trails.
While I couldn't read 'War and Peace' with them they are certainly a lot safer to run and hike in.
These 'sports' specs won't replace your normal multifocals but are more than handy tool to attack mountain trails or just running around the block.
