Expression of Interest for Consumer Advisory Panel
NSW Health Gender Services Survey
NSW Health recognises the valuable contribution that consumers, family carers and community members make to the planning, implementation, delivery and evaluation of Gender Services projects. We are looking for consumers, family members or carers with lived experience of gender affirming health care services to participate in a Consumer Advisory Panel.
About the project:
NSW Health would like to establish a survey which will be completed at regular intervals over the time clients are with the service. Outcomes of the survey will inform clinicians, aid in the evaluation of services and ultimately guide future standards of care. Consumer guidance will be sought to bring the unique perspectives and experiences of our community to project documents and to ensure they are received with sensitivity and relevance.
About the role:
We are seeking consumers with the following attributes:
- Experience with gender diversity as someone with lived experience, or a family member or carer of someone with lived experience.
- Interpersonal skills including the ability to give constructive input, maintain good working relationships, listen objectively, negotiate and make reasoned judgements.
- 18 years and older
- Time to dedicate to reviewing documents prior to meetings, and attending meetings (likely to be 4-6 meetings of 60-90 minutes)
- Experience with Microsoft suite, specifically Word, Excel and Teams.
Selection Process:
To be considered for appointment to the Consumer Advisory Panel, applicants are required to scan the QR code below and complete the online form. Applications will be reviewed and shortlisted based on responses to the above attributes. Respondents who have been shortlisted will be asked to participate in an online interview.
Payment and Reimbursement:
Payment and reimbursement for time and out of pocket expenses will be made to members in accordance with the NSW Health Remuneration Guidelines.
