An excellent breastfeeding resource
What happens after birth?
In the first few days, your breasts make colostrum - a thick yellowish fluid, high in protein and immune factors. This is all your baby needs. Around day 3 - 5, the colostrum begins to change to mature breastmilk, and your supply quickly increases. If you breastfeed often, your supply will meet the baby's needs.
