In my opinion with anyone’s gym journey, I feel it’s imperative for each and every one of us to chase a goal.
Having a goal to work towards will always keep you more motivated and a lot more hungry working towards a end result.
Hayley has been an extremely loyal client of mine for the last 8 years and her goals have always changed but we are always working towards bettering certain areas in her health and fitness.
Initially, it was all about getting some strength, building some muscle and trying to dramatically improve the strength and mobility in her shoulders, as she had always suffered an issue where her shoulder would regularly pop out of its socket from doing strenuous movements.
This happened a lot so she had a fear of pushing too heavy as it would always pop out. Very painful!
I pleaded with her not to get surgery and felt that we could build enough muscle around her entire shoulder and prevent this from re occurring and I can say that this has not happened in a very, very long time so it’s fair to say we achieved our goal and have prevented major shoulder surgery.
Like everybody, we are always trying to improve the way we look so we have always work towards bettering Haley’s shape and strength but over the years we have dabbled with the conversation of her competing and 18 weeks ago I can say the conversation got very serious.
Long story short I put the plan together and the goal for the first 10 weeks was to focus on more strength and building muscle as her conditioning was great and I said to her when we get to about 10 weeks out from the comp the serious work begins.
I can say whole heartedly that she has put every ounce of effort into making this work!
Every calorie I have asked her to eat, every extra 10 minutes of cardio I have asked her to do, every extra exercise I have asked her to perform, she has done without any complaining.
On Saturday, she competed in her first ever bikini competition and looked absolutely amazing, and I must say the transformation was outstanding!
Hayley, all I can say is I am 1 very proud and happy coach and it’s people like yourself that make my profession all the worth while and it’s why I’m still in the game 25 years later.
Enjoy your trip, you deserve it 🏝️
