After a huge year of change in 2025, I spent my summer break grounding & immersing myself close to home in my new location - walking, cycling, swimming & making connections with my local community. 💗🐨👣🏖️ My nervous system really needed that re-set, & I am looking forward to returning to work this week, feeling excited about the potential of the year ahead. 🌟 🧘🏻 🌟 I am working with private yoga therapy & Embodied Mind massage clients at on Mondays -. In February I will be attending a Body Mind Centreing Intensive in Melbourne, so I encourage you to book yourself in for a session with me while there are spaces available in January.

Sending love & light to my neighbours, friends & family and particularly my longtime community of Jewish clients & students in Sydney today. My heart breaks for the lives lost, & collective grief we now share for the horrific events that happened in Bondi a week ago. 😭💔😭 Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu is a Sanskrit mantra meaning, “May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may my own thoughts, words, and actions contribute to that happiness and freedom for all”. It’s a prayer for universal well-being & recognition of our interconnectedness as human beings. 💙🥰. The Sufi poet, Rumi, wrote a beautiful poem that expresses similar themes of universal inter-being, that, with great respect for disparate cultures & faiths, for me is relevant for today, also - Only Breath

Buddhist, sufi, or zen. Not any religion

or cultural system. I am not from the East
or the West, not out of the ocean or up

from the ground, not natural or ethereal, not
composed of elements at all. I do not exist,

am not an entity in this world or in the next,
did not descend from Adam and Eve or any

origin story. My place is placeless, a trace
of the traceless. Neither body or soul.

I belong to the beloved, have seen the two
worlds as one and that one call to and know,

first, last, outer, inner, only that
breath breathing human being

A sobering start to a beautiful Spring Sunday this morning as I saw firsthand for the first time the devastating effects of the algae bloom on Aldinga Beach. Hundreds of dead Leatherjackets strewn along the shoreline as far as the eye could see. 😭😭😭😭 Thankful that my plans for the morning were to join the Nature Walk at Aldinga Scrub which was rather more uplifting.

Proud to join my colleague, Aunty Jacqui Jarrett at the Mental Health Matters Award ceremony today, where she was one of 3 Finalists nominated for the Aboriginal Social & Emotional Health category, for her ‘Yoga Walks on. Country’ project, which we co- created with the support of Congratulations to the winner of that category, Bullinah Aboriginal Health Service, for their Culture As Therapy programme on Bundjalung country.

Hi, I’m Mischa

After 20 years of owning my own yoga Studio in Vaucluse, Sydney, I have recently sold up & re-located to my birth terroir in beautiful South Australia.

This process has required all 3 aspects of kriya yoga, in equal measure.

YS 2:1 tapas svādhyāya iśvarapranidhāna kriya yogah

tapas: the effort required to reach the goal (of yoga)
There has certainly been great effort involved:
renovating, packing up belongings, moving out & moving in!
Not to mention driving 1000 miles to get here!

svādhyāya: self-reflection, study of texts to further self-understanding

This decision has involved deep inner work, to understand my motivations for moving & creating such profound changes to my life.

To see more clearly what I need to let go of, & what I desire to create moving forward.

Iśvaraprānidhāna: surrender to that which is larger than me; trust in the Divine

Whilst this move has been made by choice, creating change of this degree has asked an equal amount of śraddha: deep inner conviction & Iśvaraprānidhāna: trust & surrender to the process.

There have definitely been more than a few moments when self- doubt & deep fear have momentarily overwhelmed me.

I feel incredibly grateful to have landed in my new location with such grace to accompany along the way, not to mention greet me on arrival. 🙏🏻💕🥰

I am looking forward to joining a new team of expert practitioners in a brand new wellness Studio , starting in October. 🎉🥳

A wonderful week of learning with yoga friends & colleagues in Ballina. Robin Rothenberg’s .yoga.therapy Pranayama Intensive & Low Back training was superb. Extensive experience, integrated with classical yoga philosophy & modern neuroscience made learning an in-depth & incredibly comprehensive process of active self-inquiry. Having long time friends & in the room was extra special. Thanks .northernrivers for creating such a warm & welcoming workshop environment. 🌟🥰💙🙏🏻🌟 Great to see a few other friends along the way to distribute Saraswathi Vasudevan’ new book to, too. 🧘🏻
