This week, Camp Sababa hosted its much-loved overnight holiday camp on the Central Coast, uniting more than 50 children and young adults living with disability and over 180 enthusiastic volunteers for four unforgettable days of fun, friendship, and adventure 🤍

Participants enjoyed a vibrant program filled with outdoor activities, arts and crafts, music, sport, and countless opportunities to connect socially in a warm, supportive environment.

For many campers, this is a truly unique experience — one they would not otherwise have access to — and it also offers families invaluable respite.

Camp Sababa is powered by a passionate volunteer committee and facilitated by JewishCare, with generous support from the Sony Foundation, the Wolper Jewish Hospital Health Foundation and JCA ⭐

Every month, we organise a fun group get-together for kids aged 10 – 15, connecting them with inspiring young adult mentors as part of our BIG Connections program.

We always do something exciting, and this month, we went to Holey Moley!

Through the friendship, trust and support of an older, positive role model, the children that come along to BIG Connections have the opportunity to develop their confidence and self-esteem, gain new skills and new experiences, and also make new friends in a relaxed and inclusive space 🧡

If you’re interested in learning more about the program, you can call us on 1300 133 660.
