LAST CHANCE TO SIGN THE PETITION

Our petition calling for a national animal abuser registry closes tomorrow at 10PM AEST. This is a crucial step toward public awareness and real accountability for convicted animal abusers in Australia.

We’ve reached over 4,000 signatures, but we know it can go even further.

Although the petition can’t be tabled during the election period, a federal MP has committed to presenting it in Parliament once the House of Representatives reconvenes after the election.

Make these final hours count - keep signing, keep sharing.

Thank you for the support and passion you’ve shown so far.

SIGN THIS TODAY: https://www.aph.gov.au/e-petitions/petition/EN7230

NSW have new changes to pups and breeders.

Enjoy the fines if you dont followw these new rules!

________
🐶 Registration & Microchipping

• Mandatory Microchipping: All dogs must be microchipped by 12 weeks of age or before being sold or transferred, whichever occurs first.
• Registration Requirements: Dogs must be registered on the NSW Pet Registry by 12 weeks of age or upon transfer of ownership. Failure to register within 28 days may result in fines.

✂️ Desexing & Fees

• Desexing Deadline: Dog owners are required to desex their pets by 6 months of age.
• Additional Charges: An extra fee applies if a dog is not desexed by the 6-month deadline.

🐕 Breed-Specific Licensing

• Licensing for Certain Breeds: Owners of specific breeds, such as Rottweilers and Mastiffs, are now required to obtain a license.
• Enhanced Safety Measures: Recommendations include stricter fines for unregistered dogs and minimum safety standards for enclosures, akin to those used for outdoor pools.

🏢 Pets in Rental & Strata Properties

• Rental Properties: Tenants must formally request permission to keep a pet. Landlords have 21 days to respond; otherwise, the request is automatically approved.
• Strata Properties: As of November 1, 2024, new laws define “unreasonable interference” to prevent blanket bans on pets in strata schemes.

DOBERMANNS AUSTRALIA

If we could talk to dogs, I imagine the conversations would be fascinating and reveal a lot about their perspectives on the world. They’d likely communicate their desires, like when they’re hungry, uncomfortable, or excited. They might tell us what they enjoy or dislike about their environment and routines. They could even share how they interpret our emotions, as dogs are incredibly perceptive of human moods.

Dogs might have simpler, direct communication, driven by instinct and emotion, and could ask for more walks, playtime, or just more attention. Imagine the loyalty and affection they already express physically, turned into words. They could also describe the things they notice with their heightened senses—smells, sounds, and movements we aren’t aware of.

What would you ask a dog if you could?
