CWHC - Cumberland Women's Health Centre

CWHC - Cumberland Women's Health Centre A non-profit community based organisation providing women's health and DV response services These areas still remain the focus of the Centre today

Cumberland Women’s Health Centre (CWHC) is a non-profit community based organisation which was established 26 years ago to provide women’s health services and domestic violence specialist response services to women in the Parramatta, Holroyd, Auburn and Hills area. When the Centre first started in the early 90’s focus was placed upon providing services surrounding anti-violence towards women (particularly domestic violence), support for new and emerging groups within the community and activities for the elderly. The Centre recognised these areas as ones where there were gaps in service provision, especially with the provision of crisis assistance in the 4 Cumberland regions.

BreastScreen NSW Mobile Bus will be onsite at DOOLEYS Lidcombe from Monday, 27 October to Friday, 7 November, offering free, confidential breast screening services for women aged 40 and over.

Breast cancer touches so many lives, our friends, colleagues, mothers, sisters, and daughters. Early detection truly makes a difference, and regular breast screening remains one of the most effective ways to find breast cancer early, when treatment is most successful.

The visit from the BreastScreen NSW Mobile Bus makes it easier for women in our local area to access this important health service close to home. It’s a valuable reminder for all women to take time for their own health and wellbeing, to pause, put themselves first, and book a screening. And for the rest of us, it’s an opportunity to show care by encouraging the women in our lives to do the same.

Bookings are essential. Please call 13 20 50 or visit https://www.breastscreen.nsw.gov.au/screening-location/SW/mobile-vans/Lidcombe/ to make an appointment.

Call 13 20 50 or book online for a free breast screen at our Lidcombe location.
