Great to hear that in March 2026 stuttering, speech sound disorder and cleft lip and palate will be added to the list of eligible disabilities under the M10 item group of the MBS! A great improvement based on the minimal access there is now for those who aren't eligible for NDIS! 🎉 🥳

Communication is at the heart of our work, and it’s through understanding each person’s unique way of expressing themselves that we help create a more inclusive society. We recognize the richness that cultural diversity brings to our communities, and how essential it is for everyone to have a voice.
Our role as Speech Pathologists is to ensure that everyone—no matter their background, language, or ability—has the opportunity to be heard, understood, and valued.
On this Harmony Day, we reflect on and reaffirm the importance of fostering a world where every individual has the tools to communicate confidently and contribute to our diverse and unified society.
