FRIDAY CHALLENGE- EYEBALLING.
Senior vs Junior Physio.
We test if experience matters when eyeballing.

We use Activforce2 to objectively measure joint movement & strength, helping us assess mobility and movement quality during rehab.

A fun little challenge between our senior physiotherapist Charles and junior physiotherapist Suzy while showcasing how technology can measure clinical progress 💪

The 4-Stage Balance Test is a simple assessment used to screen balance and falls risk.

One important finding:
If someone is unable to hold the tandem stance (heel-to-toe position) for 10 seconds, it may indicate an increased risk of falls.

The good news? Balance can often be improved with the right training 💪

If you or a loved one have noticed reduced balance, dizziness, or fear of falling, early assessment can make a big difference.

👶❤️ Top 3 Tips for Carrying Your Baby (and Protecting Your Wrists!)

If you’ve ever felt pain on the thumb side of your wrist, you might be dealing with *De Quervain’s*. It’s super common in new parents, but a few small changes can make a big difference:

✨ *1. Lift with your whole hand, not just your thumbs*
✨ *2. Keep your wrist in a neutral position*
✨ *3. Use support when you can*

Small tweaks = happier wrists 🙌
If you’re already feeling pain, our physio team can help you manage it and stay comfortable.

This Mother’s Day, we’re celebrating all the amazing mums who do so much with their hands every single day 💐🤱

From carrying little ones to lifting prams, feeding, rocking, and cuddling, all that repetitive thumb and wrist movement can sometimes lead to De Quervain's Tenosynovitis, a common cause of pain around the thumb side of the wrist.

If you’ve been noticing pain when lifting your baby, gripping objects, or twisting jars, you’re definitely not alone ❤️

In our next post, our physio team will be sharing:
✨ 3 simple tips to help manage and prevent thumb & wrist pain for mums

Facing fears and chasing growth 💪✨

Our physio Kate recently conquered her fear of heights by going skydiving 🪂

A reminder that growth starts outside the comfort zone.

At our clinic, we carry that same mindset, always learning, improving, and striving to give our patients the best care possible.

Kate has recently completed the following courses as well:
1. Women’s Pelvic Health
2. Hip differential diagnosis
3. Running repair

What challenge have you overcome recently? 👇

Big shoutout to our amazing physio Will for smashing the HOKA Half Marathon this morning! 🏃‍♂️💥

Not only does he help keep our clients moving pain-free, but he also leads by example—putting in the hard work, staying consistent, and pushing his own limits.

We’re proud to have a physio who truly lives and breathes what he teaches. If you see Will around the clinic this week, be sure to congratulate him (and maybe ask for his running tips 😉).

Struggling with back pain during your lifts? It might not be your strength—it could be your posture.

In this session, we worked with a gym client to correct anterior pelvic tilt. With a few targeted cues and adjustments, we saw:
✔️ Immediate improvement in lifting form
✔️ Reduced strain on the lower back
✔️ Better core engagement and control

Small changes in alignment can make a huge difference in performance and pain.

If you’ve been dealing with persistent back discomfort, it’s worth looking beyond the symptoms and addressing the root cause.

Move better. Lift smarter. Stay pain-free.
