With COVID lockdowns some practices are not working at full capacity yet we are receiving lots of autoclave breakdown calls related to biofilm.

We are finding clients are leaving distilled water in tanks and storage containers for extended periods causing biofilm (slime in the images attached) to develop and block up clean water tanks which reduces or stops water flow causing machine errors.

What can you do to prevent this?
- Drain water out of all tanks if you are not using the autoclave
- Don’t store distilled water in old containers for extended periods of time
- Clean out and dry out your clean water tanks weekly
- Get your machine serviced by NES. We descale your machine with each service ensuring it is free of scale and biofim

Hopefully this saves you some issues and potentially a service call. 🤗

We recently ran a Poll about defibrillators and the results were quite shocking (excuse the pun!)
