WHAT ARE YOU DOING ON FRIDAY???

Do you want to come and visit me in Summer Hill?

I have added a clinic day at Ease Wellness in Summer Hill working in the beautiful space created by Kate Anderson. It is exciting to have a new space and a new day to offer you!

I will still be working in Croydon on Thursdays 8.30am - 7pm and alternate Saturdays 8.30am - 1.30pm but now have Fridays at Summer Hill from 10am - 5pm.

I look forward to seeing you soon!

The photo on the left was taken last time I was in Nepal in 2003. Bodhnath still takes my breath away. Walking bare foot in such a holy place, listening to monks chanting and seeing all those prayer flags flying is truly incredible. We wrote the names of our family members on a set of prayer flags that will fly at Bodhnath and bless everyone 🙏 The flags are taken down every few weeks and taken to another temple and our family will continue to be blessed all across Nepal. I sent blessings to all my extended family, friends, colleagues, clients and to YOU too!
We can learn so much from the Nepali people. Their grace, patience, kindness and respect for one another is admirable.
Everyone greets each other with 'Namaste' - which translates as 'the light in me sees the light in you'.
I am sending blessings to you from Nepal.
Namaste 🙏

I am very blessed to be celebrating International Women's Day with 3 generations of amazing women in my family.

To my family and all the other incredible women in my life, thank you for your love, friendship and support.

Let's celebrate the women in our life today - their journeys, their challenges and their achievements.

Most of all, I want to celebrate that I am so proud to be a woman, I feel so blessed to support other women to be the best they can be, to love with BIG, open hearts and to seize every opportunity to feel ALIVE.

Namaste from Nepal 🙏❤️

'Healing is growing into the person that would have protected you as a child'

I love this quote shared by .capsule_

It sums up exactly what healing is all about - only YOU can truly heal yourself.

But sometimes you need someone to guide you. I can help you with that.

You are so worth it.

This client (not surprisingly) has asked to remain anonymous 😂

What constitutes an act of kindness? Is it smiling at a stranger on the bus or in the supermarket checkout? Is it saying 'good morning' as you pass someone in the street on your way to work? Or helping someone carry their groceries to their car? Or calling to check on your friend who is going through a tough time?

Kindness doesn't need to be a huge, expensive gift or a grand sweeping gesture.
For most of us, daily acts of kindness are interactions we don't even think about.

But sometimes we get caught up in the busyness of life and forget about these small, easy gestures that could change someone's day. How do you feel when you have these interactions? It always feels good because you are contributing positive energy to the world. You are shining your own light and connecting with other people.

It's not your job to brighten someone else's day, but I can guarantee when you do, your light shines brighter.

There's enough darkness in the world. Let us be examples of the light.

Sending love to you.

FRIDAY FUNNY!

Have you seen the new poetry edition from Who Gives A Crap?
So clever and so fun!
I have a little giggle when I'm on the loo.

This is my current creation....it took awhile 😂

Happy FRIDAY everyone!

A shout out to those of you 'doing the work'. It can be tough and there are days you wish you had never started to unravel the past traumas - but it is SO worth it!

Having kids can hugely trigger our own childhood trauma! Having the awareness that you want to parent differently or have healthier relationships with your kids, means you are one step ahead. Sometimes it's tricky to know where to start.....I suggest you start by talking. Talk to your partner, your friends or to a health professional.

We all have trauma (of varying degrees and intensity) and it can be difficult to 'unpack' on your own. There is always help available. You are not alone.

For those who have started their healing journey, I second Tara Lee - I see you, I appreciate you and I thank you 🙏
So will your kids 😉

I'm here if you need me.

We just had an amazing holiday visiting my nieces and spending time in nature. So good for my soul ❤

My daughter rode a horse for the first time ever!!! She absolutely loves horses so this was a dream come true. Looking back on the photos I was reminded of how much FUN she had. Whether she was riding a horse, climbing a tree, walking along the beach collecting shells or playing with my niece's dog - she was really in the moment, present, laughing and having FUN.

When was the last time you had fun? Do you remember what you used to do for fun when you were a kid??? I always ask my clients what they do for fun or 'ME' time. What fills your cup? What lights you up? Sadly for many women (especially the Mum's), we have forgotten what fun is! We get caught up in the day to day running around, ticking off the 'to-do' list, working, chasing around after kids, cooking, cleaning, washing (sound familiar?)......it doesn't leave much time for fun!

My challenge for you this week is to do one thing that is FUN! Something that feels good, makes you laugh or takes you back to your youthful, fun self!

Let me know what you do - I can't wait to hear.

I recently read 'Bright Shining - how grace changes everything' by Julia Baird. If you haven't read it - I highly recommend it. The intro on the inside cover goes like this....

'Grace is both mysterious and hard to define. It can be found when we create ways to find meaning and dignity in connection with each other, building on our shared humanity, being kinder, bigger, better with each other......So what does grace look like in our world, and how do we recognise it, nurture it in ourselves and express it, even in the darkest of times?'

How can we make this is our focus in a world that is showing us the complete opposite? War, poverty, murder, domestic violence......and on a smaller scale (but equally significant and scary) - depression, anxiety, cyber bullying, body shaming and self doubt?

Start with kindness to yourself. Take yourself 'off the hook' occasionally. We are forever busy, getting stuff done, going here, there & everywhere. What if there was on off switch? What would you do??? Allow some freedom to explore what lights you up and reflect on what makes YOU so amazing.

When you are FEELING more compassionate towards yourself, it's easier to show kindness towards others. How can you show generosity, compassion and empathy to those around you? It's amazing how quickly that generosity, compassion and empathy is returned to you. Remember small acts of kindness create CONNECTION.

We all crave connection, so let's make that our priority.
We all want to feel loved, to feel connected and to BELONG.

If you are struggling with connection - please reach out. To me, to a friend or family member or one of the many online support networks.

Sometimes we need to ask for help and that's OK.

As Brene Brown says 'We don't have to do it alone. We were never meant to'.

Sending a big hug to you.....

Love Jane x
