Sammy recently attended the Dance for Abilities Event at the Shangri-La-Hotel. The theme was a Walt Disney Talent Quest and Sammy had a great time hanging out with the various Disney characters, wearing her Minnie Mouse ears and dancing her way across the ballroom.

Today we celebrate World Mental Health Day.

Mental health and wellbeing is something everyone deserves. Taking small actions each day to look after your overall health, relationships, and mindset can make a meaningful difference to your mental wellbeing.

Mental wellbeing doesn’t mean that you feel happy all the time and mental wellbeing isn’t a static outcome that is ‘achieved’ and remains that way. We all have good days, bad days, and in-between days when it comes to our emotional world. By taking good care of our wellbeing each day, we are better placed to cope with stress and change as it arises.

Celebrations continued at Liberty with staff, clients and families enjoying Tihar otherwise known as the Nepalese Festival of Lights. Gifts were exchanged, a fantastic spread of Nepalese food was served and of course there was lots of dancing. Thanks to the Liberty team for putting on such a wonderful celebration.
