What helps feel more informed when the information feels ?
When Doesn't Make Sense?
Masi, now a patient advocate, remembers sitting in hearing names of body parts and procedures she had no language for.
She wasn't in the mood to ask. She wasn't in the mood to think about it.
So ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ต๐๐๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐บ๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐๐ต ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ, ๐๐ผ ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐น๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ถ๐ป๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐, just so she didn't have to carry the weight of remembering. Then they'd go home, search online together, and slowly piece it into something that made sense. At the beginning, she says, it was very hard. With time, it became more familiar.
Her reflection sits inside a wider pattern. often arrives faster than a person can absorb it, especially early in a journey.
Sometimes understanding doesn't happen in the room. It happens later, at home, in quieter moments.
