The Aims and Objectives of the Society is a) to acquire by gift, bequest, purchase, exchange or loan, literature and objects of historical medical significance. b) to conserve, restore, house and/or display these materials in premises suitable for the purpose.

The museum is normally open next Monday. It was to be the last day this year we were due to be open. We close in December. however due to renovations and painting work we are closed to visitors . Apologies for that. But we look forward to opening in January and can’t wait to see our renovated rooms.

We are open for visitors as normal on Monday week ( the fourth Monday of the month) but we need to move the exhibits from the anaesthetic room as facilities are going to repair the flaking ceiling so any hands on help to move the exhibits would be appreciated.

Val, Marion Ros and perhaps Violet will be attending the NSWOTA conference in Gosford 8th & 9th March on behalf of SPASM
This year any 2 new SPASM member sign ups(at the conference) will have a chance to get their membership to the OTA paid for the year by the museum.
That’s a good deal as SPASM membership only costs $20 for the year!
Hope to see many of our friends there again.

We open in February Saturday 10th then every second Saturday each month and every 4th Monday each month. The first Monday wil be 26th Feb. Hope to see you then.
This coming Friday we will be opening to welcome a film scout look for items for an upcoming production. as well as taking delivery of a very early historic heart lunch machine, donated by Sydney Uni museum. A great start to the new year.

Our tea room will be closed this Saturday 8/7 as we are having a big group from Ryde Historical society come for a visit and to launch their new edition about the Gladesville cemetery. However the museum itself will be open from 11 -2 and we are doing short tours at 12 and 1pm. $5 donation.

Our agm for 2022 is this Saturday so we will be open and having lunch for members who rsvp.
Check out our web page for our monthly newsletters which are now online. Don’t forget if you want to support us donations are tax deductable! Or join the society for $20 pa and you can come in for a cuppa any second Saturday or fourth Monday of the month.

The museum is open as normal on the 4th Monday of the month and the second Saturday of each month. We open from 11-3pm to visit will cost $5.00 per person. Group tours by arrangement include morning tea and cost $10.00
