The current COVID-19 health pandemic has placed the world in lockdown.
👨‍💻👩‍💻
Office workers and students have been directed to work and learn online from home.

This has lead to an ergonomic crisis as most of our homes have not been properly setup and assessed.

SIT/STAND desks are a great
option to combat the effects of poor work posture. Unfortunately the majority of us don't have one at home.

Panic buying of monitors has also lead to the inability of most to set setup an ergonomic work station and are left to work off laptops.
🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️💻

✴ So here's the WORKHACK ✴

Use your 🔸️IRONING BOARD🔸️ as a sit/stand desk option and wirelessly SCREENCAST or MIRRORCAST to your SMART TV and use it as a monitor. If you can use a wireless keyboard and mouse on the ironing board instead of your laptop.

It is important to have the SHOULDERS RELAXED and the FOREARMS SUPPORTED in setting up both the sitting and standing positions.

💡***IMPORTANT NOTES***💡

1. The main benefit from the sit/stand desk is it's ability to vary the working posture. Change you're work posture if you start to feel discomfort/tightness, fidgit or become restless. Remember to take your laptop off the ironing board before changing the height. Also the heavier the ironing board the more stable it will be.

2. The sitting position infront of the smart tv may need to be further back to adjust for the height position of your smart tv
✅
Lots of people already suffer from
neck and shoulder tension, headaches,
mid and low back pain,
hip pain and stiffness
from prolonged periods of sitting.

Repetitive moments using computers and static postures either sitting or standing are problematic so keep moving through the day.

Go for walks, do some other form of exercise or even do housework. It's all about different types of movement and postures. Professional athletes use different sports as part of there training to avoid injury and improve biomechanical balance.
