How are you spending your time this weekend? Are you playing or are you working?
As adults we still play yet, in our community we often de-value play to something a child only does in their spare time.
Research has shown that play is necessary for mental wellbeing and that is improves our overall cognitive functioning.
So this weekend, lets examine what we do as adults and find what activities we do this weekend is play and what is work?

Neurotypes are a helpful way of understanding that as a race, humans are neurodivergent and will have many differently wired brains. Looking at differences through a neurodiversity lens can be helpful to step back from a medical model which diagnoses disorders and divergence as wrong or deficit and instead as natural and essential.

Thinking about difference as a Neurotype can be helpful to understand how a person’s brain functions and what can be done to support challenges rather than attempt to ‘fix’ a brain which doesn’t need fixing.
