testing and energy balance simulation assists safe and effective wight loss. This sample report is from a client recently tested who wanted to know if 60kg target weight in 12 weeks was achievable. The simulation based on her current lifestyle demonstrated 65.6kg target weight was achievable in 6 months based on a 225 calorie daily energy deficit. testing next week will highlight the optimal exercise intensity and volume to add to her daily exercise schedule to achieve her goal sooner .

60 year old client came in today for a 6 month follow up scan . He was on a high protein diet and was in good shape . He went back on “carbs” last 6 months and says he has persistent hunger and can’t stop eating . On further probing he stated he’d had eye surgery and for 6 weeks post op he sat in a dark room popping endone, biscuits and ice cream ! Huge change in body composition , including 15.5kg fat gain. He has now recovered from his eye surgery and resumed his exercise program and dropping the junk food . I recommended some carbs in his diet from whole foods . He assumed “ carbs” were bad for him .

Our Story

I set up our clinic in 2003 with a model of integrated healthcare in the community. Patients are often referred for treatment with existing co-morbidities. We look at the problem and then find solutions. An example is a patient referred by chronic back pain. Following thorough history taking I may identify depressive illness. Outcomes for treating chronic back pain with a depressive comorbidity is poor. I refer my patient to see our psychologist or give them the option to choose their preferred Psychologist to assess their mental health. If they have a diagnosed mental health problem it can be treated. If through assessment I learn they have Type 2 Diabetes I will also address this problem to find solutions. All musculoskeletal conditions that have co-morbidities have poor outcomes eg rotator cuff tear, knee osteoarthritis. We manage the problem, not just treat the injury. The biggest challenge to our healthcare system is the healthcare institution itself and chronic disease. We are equipped to manage many problems our patients have. We then want to take it further and learn more about the family and community that our patients are from and look after those communities. Current services include Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Exercise Physiology, Medically supervised weight loss programs, Psychology services and DEXA Body Composition Scans provided by senior clinicians. We have supported and managed 14,000 customers since 2003 and we welcome you.
