There is a lot of misinformation, fear-mongering, and stigma attached to ADHD and the ADHD community. Many newly diagnosed individuals โ€” along with their families, partners, and parents โ€” can experience feelings of lack of acceptance, judgement, and confusion. ๐Ÿง ๐Ÿ’ญ

The ADHD Foundation is designed to support and empower the ADHD community despite these challenges. So today, we decided to collect some common myths we see spread about ADHD, and some interesting and helpful facts to counter them.

What we'd like to ask you to do is share your experience in the comments โ€” specifically, myths you've heard or previously believed about ADHD. We also want you to tell us if you have any burning ADHD-related questions you'd like to see answered in the future. ๐Ÿ’ฌโ“

Let's do this!
