What a week for Inkers Bring Your Boss – two events, two states, and double the energy and inspiration across Launceston and Melbourne!

Run by the Visual Media Association (VMA) and proudly supported by Konica Minolta as major sponsor, this week highlighted what’s possible when emerging talent and industry leaders come together.

A big thank you to Flying Colours for hosting the Launceston event and welcoming the group behind the scenes.

Isobel Clark, Director of Client Services & Marketing, shared her experiences working with emerging talent, followed by a panel discussion led by Kellie Northwood, CEO of the VMA.

Program participants Hannah Coleman and Micah Boxhall joined the panel, offering valuable perspectives on their career journeys and growth opportunities in print and signage. The momentum continued in Melbourne, where James Taylor, owner of Taylor'd Press, spoke about leading a modern print business and supporting young talent. We then heard from rising stars Jamie Coffa and Luke Chandler, who shared their experiences from inside the industry.

Across both cities, one message was undeniable: When employers and emerging talent show up together, our entire industry moves forward.

Ballarat, Adelaide and Perth – it’s not too late to register!

Security at Konica Minolta starts already with the design.

According to the IDC MarketScape, “Konica Minolta distinguishes itself from competitors through its vertically integrated security-by-design architecture.” All important protection mechanisms are already integrated. For instance, “Konica Minolta incorporates Bitdefender antimalware technology directly within the firmware of its bizhub i-Series multifunction printers.” For customers, this means when enabled, protection is already in place from day one, without the need for complex setup or additional installations.

Konica Minolta has been recognised by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment in the 2026 ESG Finance Award Japan, acknowledging our approach to embedding climate action, circular economy and biodiversity considerations into long term business strategy.

Recognition in this category is uncommon for technology and print organisations, and reflects the strength of our governance, disclosure and strategic alignment at a global level.

For Australian organisations, this is increasingly relevant. As expectations around ESG transparency, accountability and measurable impact continue to rise, global standards play a growing role in shaping local partnerships and procurement decisions.

This recognition reinforces the sustainability principles that guide how we work with customers and partners across Australia.

Holy Cross College in WA was juggling ageing printers, multiple contracts and frequent downtime. For teachers and students, “just printing” had become a daily frustration.

They wanted technology that would disappear into the background and just work – so the focus could return to teaching and learning.

By partnering with Konica Minolta Australia, the college:
✅ Replaced a fragmented fleet with a standardised set of devices
✅ Moved everything under one simple contract
✅ Integrated with CEWA’s centralised PaperCut environment and SmartRider swipe

Now, printing is faster and more reliable, the IT admin load is lighter, and staff feedback has been overwhelmingly positive – “everything just works.”

If your school is growing but your print environment hasn’t kept up, Holy Cross College’s story shows what a smarter, managed approach can achieve.
