📣 Consultation Open: RANZCR Teleradiology Position Statement

Teleradiology, as a subset of telehealth, involves the secure electronic transmission of diagnostic images from the acquisition site to the reporting site, where images are interpreted and reports are prepared.

While recognising the important role teleradiology can play in enhancing access and continuity of care, the College maintains that the presence of an on site clinical radiologist remains the gold standard of care and should be the default model wherever and whenever feasible to deliver the best outcomes for patients.
