💙 A heartwarming message from our Support Worker Sherilyn about a birthday weekend with participants:
"From 10–12 April, I supported Marija and Dane during their birthday weekend away at Norah Head Holiday Park, where they celebrated turning 44.
I’ve been working with them since 2018 as their key worker, and even after I moved to the coast in 2022, they’ve continued to request my support for their birthday weekend away—it’s become a really special tradition for us.
We started this when they turned 40, and it’s something they genuinely look forward to every year. The weekend was all about relaxing, beach walks, good food, a bit of winery exploring, lighthouses and simply enjoying time away together. Marija was already excited and planning for next year and hoping to do a farmhouse style getaway. Their favourite was the sunset at Soldier’s beach."
