T's Textbooks About T’s Textbooks

Our family business began in Randwick with T’s Book Shop in 1975. We then grew into the largest second hand textbook shop in Sydney.

When our customers started asking about selling their used textbooks, we welcomed them in and a new era of T’s was under way. We quickly out-grew our premises at Randwick, and evolved into T’s Textbooks with our move to Alexandria in 2011. In August 2022, after 47 years selling second hand books, we’ve made the difficult decision to bring T’s Textbooks journey to a close. T’s Textbooks will cease trading once our stock runs out (providing you an opportunity to nab a bargain!)

Giving to our Communities

Over the years we have donated thousands of books to schools and libraries overseas, particularly in the South Pacific and Sub-Saharan Africa. We are very proud of the impact we have made in improving education outcomes around the world. Protecting the Environment

At home, we are committed to sustainability, and have helped families give their old books new life, saving money at the same time. We recycle everything we can, reusing packaging and packing materials whenever possible. We’re proud that in over 47 years of trading we have never purchased a plastic bag. Thank you to Our Lovely Customers and Staff! We’ve built up a really friendly community at T’s Textbooks over the years, and have seen many students learn widely, flourish, and grow into fine adults (and even buy books for their own children from us!). Thank you for your loyal support. We’ve been privileged to be the first employer for so many talented young people, many of whom are now forging their own careers in science, business, law, and medicine. Thank you for working with us.

T’s Textbooks’ in-store services (at our Alexandria warehouse) are now by appointment only.

Please order online (www.tstextbooks.com.au). Delivery and Click & Collect are available for all orders.
Delivery is $14.00 in the Sydney metro region. Light parcels and deliveries outside Sydney will be weighed and charged accordingly.
Click & Collect is available by appointment only from our store’s outdoor forecourt. We’ll email/SMS you a link to book once your order is ready. Appointments are limited.
Have books for sale? Once you’ve submitted your books for sale online, we’ll email you a link to book either:
- a drop off appointment (all customers) — quickly drop off ONLY the books we are interested in;
- an in person appointment (vaccinated and medically or age exempt patrons welcome) — appraisal in-store.
