I woke up to a notification that my posts received over 50 reactions this past week. To everyone who engaged, commented, or shared: thank you. Itโ€™s a lovely bit of encouragement. ๐ŸŽ‰

But beyond the numbers, there is a deeper point Iโ€™ve been reflecting on.

In the world of health and wellness, we often get told we need "more" - more followers, more reach, more noise. I disagree. The true value isn't in the size of the crowd, but in the resonance of the message.

It doesnโ€™t matter if you have 100 followers or 10,000. What matters is that when you speak, your audience feels seen, understood and supported. If your content is relevant and useful to the people you are meant to help, you are already winning.

โœจQuality of connection is key.

If youโ€™ve been feeling the pressure to "go viral," this is your sign to not worry. Just focus on one person you can help today. ๐Ÿ‘‰ How would that change your approach to posting?

Can you take 5 mins to think this through? ๐Ÿ’ซ

Is your "Digital Front Door" locked?โ•ฐโ”ˆโžค๐ŸšชInsight: 4 out of 10 practitioners are accidentally invisible on Messenger.

Iโ€™ve been having some wonderful conversations with many of you over the last week about my upcoming guide. But I noticed something startling while I was getting everything ready to send it over.

Nearly 40% of the practitioners who reached out actually have their 'Digital Front Door' locked.

When I visited your profiles to make sure I could reach you, I realised I wouldn't be able to send a message because the privacy settings have removed your 'Message' button entirely. If I - someone youโ€™ve already asked for help - canโ€™t get through, itโ€™s highly likely your potential clients are getting stuck at the door, too.

It made me wonder ๐Ÿ’ก Is it actually difficult for your potential clients to reach you?

We often set our profiles to 'Private' or 'Follow only' to protect our space, which is so important. But if a client finds a post of yours that deeply resonates and they want to reach out privately to ask about a session, they might find that your 'Message' button is missing.

In a world where people are often nervous about reaching out for help, any extra 'click' or hurdle can be enough to make them turn back.

โžก๏ธ How to check your 'Front Door':

1๏ธโƒฃ Ask a friend who isn't 'Friends' with you on Facebook to look at your professional profile/page. Can they see a clear 'Message' button?

2๏ธโƒฃ If you use your personal profile for business, check your 'Privacy Settings' under 'How people find and contact you.' You can allow 'Message Requests' from people you aren't friends with. Theyโ€™ll go into your 'Requests' folder, keeping your main inbox for family and friends.

3๏ธโƒฃ If you prefer to keep Facebook locked down, ensure your 'Bio' has a direct, one-click link to your website, a contact form, or a WhatsApp chat link.

Your work is all about creating a 'safe space' for clients. Making it easy for them to find that space is the very first step of their healing journey.

Have you checked your settings lately ? Or do you prefer to keep a 'locked door' for privacy? I'd love to hear how you balance professional access with your personal boundaries. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Google Trends - searches for โ€œdeep breathing exercisesโ€ have hit an all-time high, becoming a breakout search in the past 7 days. โ€œdeep breathing exercises for anxietyโ€ is the top trending related query (+4,600%), past 30 days.

Google Trends gives us real-time insight into what people are searching for, feeling, and needing support with.

Health & wellness practitioners - this data is so important.

When you understand what your clients are searching for, you can create posts, blogs and services that meet them exactly where they are โ€“ if you want to cut through all the noise and attract your ideal clients this is gold!

Are you paying attention to Google Trends?

One of the most common patterns I see in therapist marketing is creating content around what they want to sayโ€ฆ instead of what their clients are already searching for.

Itโ€™s completely understandable.

You care deeply about your modality.
You want to educate.
You want people to understand the depth of your work.

But your ideal client isnโ€™t Googling your modality.

Theyโ€™re searching for:

โ€ข โ€œWhy am I so anxious all the time?โ€
โ€ข โ€œWhy canโ€™t I sleep?โ€
โ€ข โ€œIs this burnout?โ€
โ€ข โ€œWhy do I feel bloated after every meal?โ€
โ€ข โ€œWhy do I feel stuck in my life?โ€

Theyโ€™re searching for relief, not terminology.

When your content starts with what they are already worried about, something shifts:

โœ” You become easier to find
โœ” Your words feel relevant
โœ” Your expertise lands more clearly

This doesnโ€™t mean you dilute your message.
It means you translate it.

For the Clinical Hypnotherapist: Instead of: โ€˜Reprogramming the subconscious mind to break negative cyclesโ€™ Try: โ€˜Why you keep doing the thing you promised yourself youโ€™d stop.'

For the Reflexologist: Instead of: โ€˜Rebalancing the bodyโ€™s energy pathways through the feetโ€™ Try: โ€˜How to finally switch off when your brain won't stop racing.'

For the Holistic Therapist: Instead of: โ€˜Restoring your bodyโ€™s natural state of equilibriumโ€™ Try: โ€˜Why youโ€™re feeling completely "poured out" and how to refill the tank.โ€™

Same depth. Different entry point.

Standing out in a noisy industry isn't about adding to the volume. Itโ€™s about cutting through the complexity and entering the exact conversation your client is already having.

If youโ€™re creating content this week, ask yourself: What is my ideal client typing into Google at 10pm?

๐Ÿ‘‰ Thatโ€™s your starting point.

In the world of health and wellness, using retail language like 'discount' or 'sale' can unintentionally strip the ceremony out of your invitation.

Whether youโ€™re leading a ๐’๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ก ๐จ๐ซ ๐š ๐‚๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐‡๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ง๐จ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐š๐ฉ๐ฒ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง, you aren't selling a commodity, youโ€™re inviting a partnership.

โžก๏ธ For the Retreat Leader (Drumming & Sound Baths): Try โ€˜An early resonance gift.โ€™ It acknowledges that those who commit early are helping to set the frequency for the entire group.

โžก๏ธ For the Reflexologist: Try a โ€˜Foundational Invitation.โ€™ It positions the price as the first step in building a balanced, grounded life.

โžก๏ธ For the Nutritional Therapist: Try a โ€˜Clinical commitment rate.โ€™ It moves the focus from saving money to committing to a protocol.

โžก๏ธ For the Hypnotherapist or EFT Practitioner: Try a โ€˜Commitment Credit. This honours the emotional work they are about to do.

The "M-Word" doesn't have to be "Salesy" ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Iโ€™ve noticed a big shift in whatโ€™s actually working on Facebook for practitioners lately.

The old 'Book a Session' or 'I have space on Wednesday' posts are getting ignored by the algorithm. Why? Because they feel like an ending, not a conversation.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป The most successful practitioners Iโ€™m seeing right now are using what I call 'guided insight.โ€™

Instead of a hard sell, they share a tiny 'win' or a common struggle they saw in clinic that day.

For example, instead of saying: 'I have a 10% discount on reflexology this week!' They say: 'I had a client today who was struggling with [specific problem, like sleep or jaw tension]. We focused on [specific area], and they left feeling [relief]. If you're feeling that same tension today, try this one tip: [simple advice].'

๐Ÿ’ซ Why this works:

1. It builds quiet confidence: It shows potential clients that you are actively supporting others and are an established part of the community. People feel much more comfortable reaching out when they see you're already a trusted 'safe pair of hands.

2. It shows empathy: It tells a potential client 'I understand your specific pain.

3. It builds trust: Youโ€™re giving value (the tip) before asking for anything.

Itโ€™s marketing, but it feels like service. ๐Ÿ’ซ

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Have you tried sharing 'clinic stories' like this before? Or does it still feel a bit daunting to put yourself out there?

Drop a comment below, Iโ€™d love to hear how youโ€™re feeling about showing up online lately!

Many therapists see social media as a place to stay visible and connected. And yes, it absolutely helps potential clients find you within the platform.

Your name
โœฆ Your therapy modality
โœฆ โ€œAcupuncturist for anxiety in Bristolโ€
โœฆ โ€œTrauma-informed counsellor near meโ€

Thereโ€™s a strong chance your page, posts or profile could show up alongside your website.

That means your social presence becomes an additional discovery point, not instead of your website, but alongside it.

So your posts arenโ€™t just content for your current followers. Theyโ€™re searchable pieces of your digital footprint.

Your social media is part of your visibility strategy, whether you treat it that way or not.

Letโ€™s talk about the "M-word" (Marketing!) ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Iโ€™m currently mapping out some new resources to help therapists & holistic practitioners get their message out there, without it feeling 'salesy' or out of alignment with your values.

To make sure these are actually helpful and not just more 'noise,' Iโ€™d love to hear from the experts (you!).

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป What is the one thing about marketing that feels the most draining or confusing for you right now?

Is it:
๐Ÿชฌ Knowing what to post on social media?
๐Ÿชฌ Finding where your 'soul-client' actually hangs out?
๐Ÿชฌ The 'tech' side (websites, booking links, etc.)?
๐Ÿชฌ Or just the feeling of 'selling' yourself?

Tell me your biggest struggle in the comments, and please feel free to mention your page name or what you do! Iโ€™d love for us to all give each other some supportive vibes and likes this week โœจ

P.S. Iโ€™m actually putting together a Simple Guide to help take the pressure off finding and connecting with your soul-clients. If youโ€™d like a copy when itโ€™s finished next week, just let me know below and Iโ€™ll make sure it reaches your inbox as soon as itโ€™s ready.

Itโ€™s easy to build your whole business on social media.

It feels visible. It feels active. It feels like growth.

But hereโ€™s something we donโ€™t talk about enoughโ€ฆ

Your social media accounts are not assets you own.

Platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok are rented space. And rented space can disappear.

Accounts can be:
๐Ÿ“Œ Suspended due to algorithm errors
๐Ÿ“Œ Reported unfairly
๐Ÿ“Œ Flagged by automated systems
๐Ÿ“Œ Hacked
๐Ÿ“Œ Restricted after policy updates
๐Ÿ“Œ Locked out if you lose access to an email or two-factor authentication
๐Ÿ“Œ Limited in reach overnight due to algorithm changes

Even without being taken down, your visibility can drop dramatically without warning.

When your business relies solely on social media, youโ€™re building on land you donโ€™t control.

โœ… This is why your website matters.

Your website is your digital home.
A place where:
โ€ข You control the message
โ€ข You decide what is seen
โ€ข You can explain your work properly (not in captions or 90-second videos)
โ€ข Enquiries are directed clearly
โ€ข Your services are positioned strategically
โ€ข Your content builds long-term visibility through search

Social media should support your business, not be your entire business.

Think of it as the conversation starter.

Your website is where the meaningful conversation continues.

If all your content disappeared tomorrow, would people still know where to find you?

๐Ÿ‘‰ Thatโ€™s the real question.

A gentle way to create more ease and trust in your practice ๐ŸŒฟ

When you are building a soul-led business, every detail of how you show up online contributes to the "container" you create for your clients.

One small but significant shift I often discuss with the therapists I work with is moving from a personal address to a custom domain email (like yourname@yourpractice.com).

Why does this matter for a holistic practice?
It isn't just about looking "corporate" in fact, itโ€™s the opposite. Itโ€™s about:

โœจ Consistency & Trust: It offers a sense of stability and professionalism before a client even opens your message.

โœจ Security & Care: A custom domain allows for better security measures, helping you protect the sacred space of your client communications.

โœจ Reliability: Custom emails are less likely to be filtered into spam, ensuring your intake forms and reflections reach your clients' inboxes with ease.

๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป A little gift from Squarespace...
If we are working together on your Squarespace website, there is a lovely perk you might not know about:

You can receive one year of Google Workspace (professional email) for free when you sign up for an eligible annual Squarespace subscription. Itโ€™s a simple way to elevate your practiceโ€™s presence without added technical overwhelm or immediate extra costs.

๐ŸชฌIโ€™m here to help you bridge the gap between your heart-centered work and the digital tools that support it. If you have questions about setting this up, feel free to reach out.
