Thirty Yeshiva University students visited the MDA Haifa station as part of a service mission with Taglit Birthright.

Aryeh Meyers spoke with the students in general about MDA's lifesaving work, including stories of first responders' experiences on October 7. The group then rolled up their sleeves to clean emergency water containers, they organised shelter supplies and toured ambulances with MDA medics.

Swipe through for some lovely, proud moments caught on camera.

Yesterday MDA's EMTs and Paramedics provided lifesaving medical treatment at a childcare centre and evacuated 55 infants to hospitals around the city.

MDA teams attended an emergency situation at a childcare centre in Jerusalem where two, four month old infants were found unconscious. The teams commenced resuscitation of the babies who were later evacuated to hospital to receive life saving treatment.

The MDA teams examined the other infants at the childcare centre to make sure they were not suffering from medical concerns.

MDA Paramedic, Nadav Taib said. "This is an extremely serious incident. We were initially called to the scene to treat a four month old infant who was unconscious, without a pulse and unable to breathe. Our team began treating the infant including resuscitation and then commenced evacuating the remaining children. We were then called back to the scene after another child was found unconscious and unable to breathe."

The two infants are in critical condition. Further updates will follow.

When her labour started, Avia was in her car on the way to Jerusalem and quickly realised that she was not going to get to the hospital to have her baby.

With guidance from MDA's 101 dispatch centre and quick response of paramedic Ilana Berger to get to Avia, the baby was safe in her car.

It's a moment neither mum, Avia, nor paramedic, Illana will ever forget.

A shared commitment to saving lives recently brought doctors and paramedics from around the world to Israel.

Thirty doctors and paramedics from eight countries completed a five-day emergency medicine training program in Israel and officially joined Magen David Adom's International Emergency Unit, which has expanded global readiness in times of crisis.

We stand with them and welcome them as they join MDA's mission.

Ma'oz Chaim's life was threatened even before he took his first breathe.

Rare antibodies put his survival in peril and only lifesaving blood transfusions in the womb would save him.

Because of Magen David Adom's life saving intrauterine blood transfusions and matching blood donors, Ma'oz survived.

Before his bar mitzvah, Ma'oz Chaim visited the National Blood Bank to thank the people who saved his life.

Magen David Adom is Israel's only emergency services system, responding to over a million crisies each year and in well over 90% of the emergencies nationwide they are the first to arrive at the scene.

It is a truly extraoridinary feat, it is not just an organisatio it is an infrastructure.

Without the support you give to MDA through Australian Friends of Magen David Adom, daily life would be very different and the incredible response to emergencues in ISrael would not be anywhere near it is today.

The talk that saves lives and keeps medics in the field.

Despite the growing availability of mental health programs for first responders, too many paramedics and EMS professionals still carry the weight of traumatic experiences in silence, and the toll is harrowing.
