A delegation of ambassadors and diplomatic representatives from around the world visited MDA Headquarters in Ramla today, as part of an official visit aimed at deepening their understanding of the activities of Israel’s national emergency organisation and its central role in strengthening national resilience.
During the visit, the ambassadors received a comprehensive overview of MDA’s activities in routine and emergency situations, its role as Israel’s national emergency medical service, and the operational response it provides across the country - from major cities to remote communities. The organisation’s commitment to ensuring that every citizen receives a rapid and high-quality response was emphasized, along with MDA’s close cooperation with the IDF, Israel Police, and Fire and Rescue Services. In times of emergency, MDA serves as an integral part of the national emergency response system.
The ambassadors were introduced to MDA’s advanced command and control system, including the 101 National Emergency Dispatch Centre, considered one of the leading systems of its kind in the world. Developed in the field in collaboration with paramedics and dispatch personnel, the system integrates advanced technologies such as real-time location tracking, data analysis, and decision-support tools. It enables the management of thousands of incidents simultaneously and the rapid and precise deployment of resources within seconds.
In addition, MDA’s operational array was presented, including its response system comprising thousands of ambulances and mobile intensive care units, hundreds of emergency medicycles and rapid response vehicles, and tens of thousands of volunteers deployed nationwide. MDA’s blood services were also highlighted, operating both in routine and emergency situations to ensure the availability of blood for the entire healthcare system.
