DECEMBER UPDATE;
Seems that the 'wildcrafting', being out bush and collection stage of this project is more or less concluded and over for this year. There are still a couple of items I've put the 'feelers' out for but I more or less have all I can get from this years incursion into Nyungar Boodja this spring (Kambarang).
Next I will be going into the Manufacturing phase of the project. I've added a pic that explains how this funding raised through here has been spent. Note that there have been no funds spent on 'Camping Supplies" except monies I personally spent. This is because (unfortunately) we have not been able to raise enough 'outside' funds. Had we had them we could have bought some 'useful' things - such as an awning to keep us out of the midday sun during our middle of the day breaks.
Luckily I was able to supply a good basic camping kit using my own resources! The manufacturing portion of this project is HUGE and very expensive and we will need another very good injection of funds to get this project completed. Unfortunately I cannot afford to do this on my little lonesome and so I started up this fund-raising drive. So PLEASE try digging into those pockets to see how much you can help!
You may notice that costs for our petrol have come in at around two thirds of our anticipated cost and this was due to our late start which did not give us enough time to go farther afield and out into the western desert. Hopefully next year!
There will also be quite of number of anticipated costs yet that will come in under the heading of Collection costs and so the manufacturing and collection costs are intertwined. Take a look at the UPDATE pic to see the costs breakdown for this project so far. And once again may I thank you all so much for your contributions so far which have enabled this project to progress this far.

ATTN: This Gahbali Djukurrpa Group is focused on the 'dream' given to me many years ago now by Kuminay Rule (my Njardu boss woman). The dream was recently re-ignited by Didya V who passed over during the isolation of early Co-Vid who then rattled up (from the other side) some of you already in here and in particular Rob Santich who is now my manager.

And so for the first time in four years I went out and embarked upon what once used to be an annual trek out collecting bush medicines. For a number of reasons - many of which revolve around the unsuitability of my current vehicle, a severe lack of funds and the lack of a suitable offsider these treks have not occurred during the last 4 years (until now).

And so this year I 'accidentally' somehow pressed the 'publish' button on my bush medicine eBook. Thanks Didya V ;-)

Almost simultaneously Rob Santich called me. He had obviously been summoned by Didya V who he has met in the flesh. And so - it was ALL ON from there, Together we worked out to do a fundraiser to raise sufficient funds. And despite what appeared to be 'major resistance' I took off headed into Nyungar boodja on a mission to collect bush medicines two or three weeks ago. I still will be heading out yet again soon. This mission is, at this moment, far from completed. And there have been a few interesting adventures and even mishaps too along the way. I generally give Rob Santich a daily update when I am in range so that he can keep you all updated.

We still are in need of funds to complete this project!

Many of you have generously donated and left some lovely words of encouragement and inspiration on the fundraising pages. And many of you - particularly our newbies may be unaware of our fundraising efforts ;-)
