Hope everyone is well! During this lockdown, we are still open as usual but we also offer follow up patients to have a phone consultation if needed. I am also excited to welcome a new consultant Dr Dennis Chan joining our team. He is going to working with us 2 days a week and he is a well qualified endocrinologist and specialist general physician. He is also active in medical research and is currently pursuing a PhD in Kolling Institute (University of Sydney and Royal North Shore Hospital) to help improve the management of neuroendocrine neoplasms. Happy New Year everyone. Hope you are all having a much deserved break with family and friends (under Covid safe environment). I am sure we all agreed that we should forget the year 2020 and move forward with 2021. All our clinics are currently closed and will reopen on the 11th of January 2021. In order to see all our new referrals in a timely manner, especially gestational diabetes/thyroid disorder, hyperthyroidism, newly diagnosed T1 and T2 diabetes and medical assessment forms for driving, I am delighted to introduce our new endocrinologist, Dr Naomi Eastwood-Wilshere. She has worked alongside me at St George and Campbelltown Hospital. She has an extremely good work ethic and is very passionate about giving the best possible care to all her patients. She is also an expertise in obstetric medicine (e.g gestational diabetes, hypertension, pre eclampsia etc). Dr Naomi Eastwood-Wilshere will be a great addition to our clinic as we continue to aim to provide high-quality, personalised care to all endocrinological patients in the St George and Sutherland Shire area.
