So lovely catching up with these guys for a refresher course as they get ready for their second birth!

& completed the course with me during their first pregnancy in 2020. 4 years later we reunited to review all the techniques and get clear on their vision for this birth.

Love being able to offer short refresher sessions for previous clients ❤️❤️

The amniotic sac is a membrane that holds your baby (and their cord), placenta and amniotic fluid. As you can see, the sac is thin and transparent but is quite strong!

The amniotic fluid is made up of water, electrolytes, nutrients, hormones and antibodies, meticulously curated to nurture our bub throughout pregnancy. Initially it is mostly made up of mostly fluid from our body but later on baby’s urine contributes too. It acts as a cushion and also provides hydration and nourishment, ensuring optimal development and comfort for our growing baby!

Our sac normally ruptures during labour, causing the water to leak (or while pushing baby out) so it’s rare to see it in tact like in this AMAZING pic 😍 thank you to for capturing and sharing this!

How did your waters break? Or maybe your baby was born en caul (in the sac) like this!
