A few weeks ago, NSWMSC joined the new interns at Port Macquarie Base Hospital for an ASMOF intern information session, where we learned about the power of union membership and understanding your workplace rights from day one.

Advocacy doesn’t start after graduation, it starts now.

Medical students can sign up to ASMOF as student members and begin building the knowledge, confidence and collective strength to advocate for themselves and their patients.

Opportunity for NSW medical students! A message and invitation from HPCA

The Health Professional Councils Authority (HPCA) is redesigning its website, and they’re looking for medical students to help shape a more user-friendly, easy-to-navigate platform

Participants will be reimbursed $20 per activity.

What’s involved?
• Usability testing – a 60-minute online session reviewing a draft version of the new site and sharing feedback on design and navigation
• Tree testing – a quick 10-minute online activity to help improve how information is structured

You can take part in one or both – and your feedback will directly influence how the final site works for students and health professionals.

📅 Key dates
• Usability testing: Tue 3 – Fri 6 Feb 2026
• Tree testing: Week of Mon 16 Feb 2026

📧 Interested?
Email HPCA-Projects@health.nsw.gov.au with your name and contact details by Friday 30 January to be involved.
