From rail networks to maritime vessels, Term 1 was all about exploring transport and logistics in the real world ๐๐ข
This term, our Transport and Logistics Employment Pathways participants engaged in a range of hands-on activities, excursions, and workshops designed to build practical knowledge of transport systems and logistics.
Through these real-world experiences, participants developed confidence, navigation skills, and a deeper understanding of how transport networks operate.
Here are some Term 1 highlights ๐
๐ Central Station Excursion: Practising real-life travel skills, navigating stations, reading signage, and understanding transport systems in action.
๐ Australian Railway History Museum: Joining a guided tour, exploring NSW rail history, learning about archiving systems, and discovering volunteer roles and railway operations.
๐ Eveleigh Railway Workshop: Exploring historical rail equipment, maintenance operations, workforce roles, and the evolution of rail transport.
๐ณ๏ธ Maritime Museum Excursion: Observing maritime vessels, learning transport history, exploring exhibition design, and discovering career and volunteering pathways.
All of these experiences are building towards something exciting โ our participantsโ Transport Museum Exhibit, where theyโll bring their learning to life, share insights, and build their own transport-themed displays and exhibits.
The exhibit is currently a work in progress and we canโt wait to share what theyโve been creating soon!
