Wishing our wonderful community a very Merry Christmas and a joyful holiday season 🎄✨

We’ll be taking a short break over the festive period — Women’s Health Road will be closed from 24th December and reopen on 5th January.

And yes… that is a uterus Christmas tree on Dr Talat’s phone 🎄😂 She’s convinced it should become our new clinic artwork — and honestly, we’re starting to agree!

Thank you for a beautiful year. Stay safe, stay well, and we look forward to caring for you again in 2025 ❤️

🎉 A proud moment for Women’s Health Road 🎉

A huge congratulations to our Director, Clinical Associate Professor Talat Uppal, on her academic promotion at Macquarie University. This recognition reflects her lifelong commitment to advancing women’s health through clinical excellence, education and innovation.

We are honoured to host Macquarie University medical students in our clinic and to continue growing as a research hub, particularly in digital pathways for managing abnormal uterine bleeding.

Her leadership drives our mission forward every day and we are so proud to see her contributions acknowledged at this level. 💙✨

🌸 Menopause Awareness Day 🌸
Menopause is a natural life stage, but it can bring significant changes that affect physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Hot flushes, sleep disturbance, mood shifts, bone health, and heart health are all part of the conversation - yet it’s often overlooked.
Today is a reminder to raise awareness, share knowledge, and support open conversations so that every woman feels informed and empowered during this transition. 💜

A word from Dr Talat Uppal:
holds deep meaning for me. As a breast cancer survivor, I’m profoundly grateful to the extraordinary teams who cared for me and who care for patients every day: surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, nurses, allied health, admin, and the loved ones who stood beside us.

Breast cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting women, touching countless families across Australia and the world. And yet, beyond a diagnosis, there is so much life to be lived! This month, we keep the conversation going, stand with those in treatment, and honour survivors and the loved ones we’ve lost.

Some words from Dr Talat:
Thank you, Organon, for inviting me to present at this fantastic educational forum, Alana Philips Sui Lun Lim RPh & team, great work!

What made this trip more special, was the Day 2 workshop, where I learnt, how to scan for and remove deep implants from Dr Diana Mansour (UK).

At Women's Health Road and Bleed Better, alongside our focus on contraception and hashtag , we also manage women experiencing unscheduled or troublesome PV bleeding, related to menopausal hormone therapy (MHT) and long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs).

It was wonderful to hear so many, fellow speakers from around the globe, share insightful LARC relevant perspectives and experiences with the audience.

Looking forward to applying these learnings to improve patient care!
