A day of in-depth learning with my dermatology colleagues focusing on enhancing plastic surgery suturing techniques and skin cancer surgery for GPs, particularly the afternoon practical session- I hope it was useful.

Presenting ‘the hot seat' - a rite of passage for every final year specialist trainee. This is where aspiring surgeons, dermatologists and all specialists alike, prove their mettle and earn their place in the esteemed institution of their respective colleges.

A wave of memories come flooding back- the nervous butterflies, the anticipation of the unknown, and the echoes of sacrifices made by our loved ones. Each tear shed, every disappointment encountered, and every triumph celebrated, it all culminates here.

My heart goes out to the final year dermatology registrars as they prepare for this defining moment. Here's to the final push as we wrap up another year of trial exams.
