On a waitlist for speech therapy? Don’t wait to start supporting your child.
Being in limbo can be frustrating - especially when you’re eager to help your child communicate. The earlier you start, the better the outcomes.
That’s why we’re offering More Than Words® - a 9-week online program for parents of children aged 2–8 with autism and limited spoken language.
Led by Tammy, a certified Hanen practitioner and experienced paediatric speech pathologist, the program gives you:
✔ Practical strategies you can use in everyday routines
✔ Real-time coaching from an expert
✔ Connection with other families who truly get it
🚂 Last Thursday, Ron visited the Train Museum at Thirlmere with staff member Elmer as part of his 1:1 CPP community support.
One of Ron’s favourite memories growing up was catching the Red Rattler train with his mum - and he was delighted to see one up close again.
These outings are all about supporting people to do the things they enjoy, reconnect with old memories, and make new ones. 💛

Chris from our Piccadilly home recently returned from a Careaway holiday in Dubbo - and he had the best time!
Chris got to experience highlights such as meeting elephants and rhinos at the zoo, stepping into a pilot’s seat and exploring the old gaol.
Trips like this build confidence, community connections and great memories. Thanks for sharing the pics with us Chris!

Today, the muffins were shared - and so was the message. 💛
After baking vanilla muffins and choc-chip cupcakes yesterday, SLES participants Jiandre and Matias joined the team to enjoy them together for morning tea. They also helped deliver R U OK? Day kits to Shine Shed North West and to all McCall homes - making sure both participants and staff could share in the reminder to check in with one another.
A big thank you to Jiandre, Matias and Vishal for helping spread the R U OK? message right across our community.

✨ Yesterday, SLES participants, Jiandre and Matias, with the support of SLES coordinator Vishal, baked vanilla muffins and choc-chip cupcakes for the McCall team and participants to enjoy. 💛
They baked these treats as part of R U OK? Day - which is today - a national reminder to check in with those around you, ask the question, and start conversations that really matter.
At McCall, we know that sometimes the simplest moments, like sharing food, can spark connection and show someone you care.

Move Well Mondays is our weekly physio-led series, designed to help you feel better and move with confidence -one simple stretch at a time.
This week, we’re focusing on the calves. Whether you’ve been walking all day, on your feet at work, or just feeling tight through the lower legs, these calf stretches can make a big difference.
Josh demonstrates two variations - one using a step, and one you can do anywhere with a wall.
No equipment needed. Just 20 seconds each side to release tension and support mobility.
Presented by Josh Ioannidis, Physiotherapist at McCall Allied Health.
💜 Save it for after a long day - your legs will thank you.

🎉 A very special milestone!
Last weekend, Neil celebrated his 75th birthday with plenty of cake, friends and laughter. He enjoyed a celebration at our Community Program in Annangrove, then continued the fun at home with his housemates. He was then joined by Michael and Tony from our St Albans home, who brought another cake and gifts!
No one could wipe the smile off his face!
The celebrations aren’t stopping there, next week Neil’s brother Wayne and sister-in-law Sheila will join him from Broken Hill for an outing together.
💜 Happy Birthday Neil - what a wonderful way to celebrate 75 years!
Join us at Shine Shed Vineyard for a day of fun, connection and community - with farm animals to pat, face painting, a free sausage sizzle, cake stall, coffee and plenty of spring activities. The Shine Shed will also be open and free to enjoy.
