Bosu ball squats
This exercise uses the BOSU ball to challenge your quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings, and core, with a strong emphasis on eccentric control - the slow, controlled lowering phase of the squat.
It’s commonly used in rehab for knee pain, patellofemoral issues, ACL rehab, balance deficits, and lower‑limb strength retraining. The unstable surface encourages better joint awareness and muscular coordination.
Why it matters
Builds controlled strength through the full range of motion
Improves balance, proprioception, and lower‑limb stability
Helps the body absorb load more efficiently during daily tasks and sport
Supports long‑term knee and hip function by improving movement quality
Eccentric training is a powerful tool for building resilience and improving how your body handles real‑world movement.
