Hayee Group Services are looking for successful candidates to join our team. Hayee Group Services are registered NDIS provider. We are located in Liverpool NSW. ( Please Make sure you have all requirements before applying).

Disability Support Worker
Are you passionate about care? Do you want to make a difference in someone’s life? Then join our growing community team NSW to work with Participants, developing there skills.

Your primary role will be to provide support to clients in their home or out in the community - ratio may vary depending on complexity of the client.

The successful applicant would be provided with the induction, on the job mentoring and given time to familiarise with our client before being rostered.

Successful person will be required to undertake a range of daily task support within their duties may include:

Support in community participation programs
Transportation of clients to community
Social and community support
Showering and personal care assistance
Manual handling including hoist transfers – manual, electric / assisted standing
Dressing assistance and hygiene needs
Bowel and continence support
Meal preparation
Report completion including incident, progress notes, shifts handovers

The successful candidate will have:
Maximum availability and willingness
Demonstrated manual handling experience
Demonstrated experience with personal care
Experience in working with people with high needs and intellectual disabilities

Mandatory Requirements include:
Minimum of Certificate III or IV in Disability/Aged Care, or equivalent
Current First Aid
Current CPR (annual)
Manual handling (preferred)
Administration of medication (Desirable but not essential)
Ability to provide support to client with behavioural challenges
National Police Check
Current Working with Children’s Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain
Current Australian Drivers License
Own vehicle with third party or comprehensive car insurance (preferred but not essential).

Hayee Group Services in Sydney is a community based services. We provide treatments and supports in the clients home. We aim to deliver evidence based occupational therapy interventions under the National Insurance Disability Scheme (NDIS)
We focus on delivering high quality occupational therapy to a diverse range of client's living with special needs. We will see clients aged between 7 years and above.
About the role
As a community based Occupational Therapist, you will be driving and conducting face to face services in the client's home. You will be providing OT to a variety of people living with disabilities, including Intellectual Disabilities, Neurological Disabilities, Physical Disabilities and individuals living with Sensory Processing Disorder.
You will be prescribing equipment, minor/major home modifications, conducting sensory interventions, liaising with schools and other therapists, conducting cognitive assessments, educating families/carers/teachers/support workers and writing a variety of reports.

This role is an autonomous role where you will be assisting individuals in building independence and encouraging our clients to build capacity in their chosen activities of daily living.

Skills and experience
Completed Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.
AHPRA registered.
OTA registered (desirable).
Current Drivers License.
Willingness to complete FirstAid, WWCC, Police Check
Client-Centered Practice.
Excellent organisation skills
Excellent report writing skills.
Ability to independently manage scheduling of clients e.g appointments, follow up visits.
Ability to communicate both written and verbal information in a sensitive manner.
Ability to adapt to a varied caseload.
Liase with other organisations appropriately.
Willingness to learn.
