WHY NOT ALL ESSENTIAL OILS ARE CREATED EQUAL

Have you ever wondered why one essential oil smells flat, while another feels like it lands in your body?

Here’s the truth most people don’t realise 👇

Essential oils are all derived from plants, with each plant containing dozens - sometimes hundreds - of chemical compounds that make up its biology.

So yes… the molecular structure of an essential oil can be the same across brands.

BUT....the quality, potency & therapeutic support can vary dramatically depending on:

🌿 Growing conditions – soil quality, climate, harvest timing
🌿 Extraction & handling – how the oil is distilled, stored, packaged
🌿 Blending intention – the care, skill, and presence of the person creating the blend

And when it comes to oil blends, even more factors come into play:
• Dilution ratio (essential oil to carrier oil)
• Type and quality of carrier oil
• Storage (oils are sensitive to heat & light)
• Intention & energetic integrity infused into the blend

This is why two blends with the same ingredients can feel completely different.

At the end of the day, choosing an essential oil brand isn’t about “better” or “worse” - It’s about what matters to you, and what your body responds to.

SCENTS THAT MAKE SENSE

Ever noticed how some scents feel calming, grounding or uplifting…while others just smell nice?

There's a reason for that.

Let’s start at the beginning to better understand why essential oils will always be superior to synthetic fragrances.

🌼 Essential oils are extracted directly from plants - flowers, bark, leaves, rinds, resin and roots – and are made up of dozens to hundreds of chemical compounds. These compounds don’t work in isolation - they work together, in synergy, creating a real effect on our mind, body, and emotions.
🌼 Our bodies are actually designed to respond to these plant molecules. When we inhale essential oils, their aromatic compounds communicate directly with the limbic system - the part of the brain responsible for emotions, memory, hormones, and the nervous system.
🌼 When applied topically, these molecules are absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream, where they can influence the nervous system from within.

Synthetic fragrances are completely different.

📌 They are lab-made aromatic molecules designed to mimic natural scents - but without the complexity or synergy of real plants.
📌 They don’t interact with the limbic system in the same way and offer no therapeutic benefit to our nervous system, hormones or emotional bodies.
📌 Many ingredients commonly used in synthetic fragrances and perfumes are known to:
• Cause skin irritation and eczema
• Interfere with hormones and stress responses
• Be linked to reproductive and respiratory issues

Essential oils from plants, will always be the superior choice if you're looking for a scent that creates balance and supports your health. Their intelligent design and aromatic qualities will also shift moods, calm the nervous system, balance hormones and regulate emotions.

Synthetic scents on the other hand may smell good, but offer no support at all. In some instances, they can also create health concerns, skin irritations, headaches and hormonal imbalance.
