The logic test. Does the program I’m designing and/or implementing make sense?

If it doesn’t do I understand the problem/issue as well as perhaps I should or do I need to re-think exactly what it is that I am trying to do?

From either a sports performance or rehabilitation point of view is there a structural issue that is creating a mechanical problem that is unlikely to be addressed simply via movement prescription?

If any structural issues have been ruled out is there a mechanical fault. Can we address this through exercise prescription and exactly how and what exercises are we going to prescribe to achieve this

Volume and load. If we have addressed the above two components then do we need to look at our loading parameters in further detail?

The thought process behind program design is often key!

Some random things on my mind..

When it comes to strength training no matter how advanced or basic a program is selecting the appropriate loads will be a key component to the success of such a program!

In my opinion too many exercises are often associated with certain issues or outcomes and hence are prescribed without truly understanding the logic behind such prescription.

What is the effect of continual micro dosing on the development of speed and power in comparison to programs that solely focus on working across the speed-strength continuum. What are the trade-offs? What factors dictate the decision as to which we should take..

A total of 9 repetitions on the sled followed by 5-10 minutes of laying on back having a deep conversation with the ceiling! 😜
